As someone who loves maths (we are out there), I found it hard when my son (now 6) was given homework because he hated it. He now wants to work on his maths in this book, and has also started loving his maths homework from school. He loves Minecraft and this book was pitched just right for age and ability linked to his key stage.

After 1 weekend my 6 year old boy has done 10 pages in the 5-6 maths book (out of 64). He struggles with anxiety so homework has always been difficult and takes patience, but as a visual learner this seems to have caught his interest.Some difficult questions though.

My little boy loves this. Excellent idea to aid learning. He couldn’t wait to work through a few pages. The questions are well set out and easy to understand, and I love the idea that they can ‘win’ emeralds and exchange when finished. Recommended to a few people already. :-)

I bought this for my Minecraft obsessed 6 year old son who enjoys workbooks but prefers them to have a theme fitting his interests.It has a really good mixture of questions and problems to solve, some harder than others but nothing too difficult. The book is designed well and with the changing pace and style of problem it keeps my son interested for longer, rather than repeating the same thing over and over again.
