The book was a decent read but the storyline was unrealistic in my opinion. I know it’s fiction but I feel I need to believe the story and as such I just wasn’t invested. Decent but not great!

The characters are believable and there are many twists and turns - I kept changing my thoughts on who was keeping which secrets and who had done what.When you finish the book there is the option to choose an alternative ending - my personal preference was the original.

I normally look forward to a new Susan Lewis book, yet this one was just awful. Very flimsy plot, Miranda was a neurotic and all the supposed did she/didn’t she just didn’t work. Sorry Susan, I know you’re under pressure to churn out books, but take a break and produce something that you are so, so good at normally.
