For this edition, the distinguished Vivaldi scholar Paul Everett has returned to the autograph manuscript as the most authoritative source. Both full and vocal scores make clear distinction between original and editorial markings, and information on performance practice is relevant without being prescriptive. The vocal score includes an orchestral reduction for rehearsal purposes, and the full score is supplemented by a comprehensive critical commentary and continuo realization. It also includes a unique transcription of Ruggieri's 'Cum Sancto Spiritu', on which Vivaldi based his own setting.

This is an easy to read score with clear manuscript. A pleasant change from tiny scores you struggle to read without binoculars. This score includes full versions of all numbers.

I was disappointed to find that I had ordered an arrangement for SATB. The reviews had not revealed this and the front cover does not show this information. However, it is a wonderful score, clearly set out for the 4 parts making easy reading so I would recommend it if this is what you are looking for. It is such a lovely piece to sing so I decided to keep this copy and search for the arrangement I really wanted.
