5.0 out of 5 stars A must have .... comfort when you need it most.
Dr Julie's first book 'Why has nobody told me this before?' was a fabulous read, so I pre-ordered Open When ... and was excited to receive it. It is everything I hoped for and more. You could sit and read it cover to cover (which I will) but you can also dip in and out of chapters which are relevant when needed.... which is so wonderful. The subjects are relatable and the explanations normalise feeling that way and in Dr Julie's words ' shine a light so you can work out which way is up.' Whether you have a keen interest in psychology and emotional literacy or are working through something and looking for support, I would highly recommend reading this.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, as ever!
Dr Julie’s first book has been my go-to for support and comfort over the last few years. I don’t often do physical books. I’m an audiobook lover, and with this, I have both! Written from an honest and raw perspective but with evident knowledge and skill. This is the kind of book that will never make the shelf but be around to ‘open when’. Excellent!
5.0 out of 5 stars Instantly comforting and practical
Pre-ordered after reading and loving Dr Julie’s first book. Had a quick flick through on a difficult day and can see it’s going to be another helpful read to work through completely and then use as a handbook to refer to when needed.

Therapy and a best friend in a book
I love every chapter more than the other, highly recommended
Worth it
I don’t think I’ve ever needed a book more. The fact that you don’t need to read the book cover to cover and can just flip to the section you need is so practical. Not only does it have a letter from doctor Julie but it also has tips and tricks you can use when you’re in the situation. Would definitely recommend this book for yourself or for a loved that maybe you don’t see much or they’re struggling with something and you’re not sure what to say. Thanks Dr Julie
