Overall I have given this book 5 stars because, for me, it has actually made a big difference. I would say there are elements of the book which are far too bossy in tone - and you get a heavy dose of Fiona's self congratulatory attitude coming through. But setting aside those elements, I have to say that the questions and exercises in the book are very thought-provoking and give you a great insight into your issues, how you might start to resolve them, and the accepted truths that you believe that may be limiting your outlook.I read through the book once, then seriously worked through the exercises as she suggests - using a notebook to write things down and ponder them. I particularly found the exercise on self-limiting beliefs and where they come from very powerful, but there are lots of sections which are worth spending time on.I'm sure you could do this work with a life coach, but it costs a lot, and you have to commit to a regular slot of time - with this book, I worked on it intensively on a holiday, and made some progress with things that have been troubling me in quite a short time. I recommend it - but to make a difference you have to put time in too.

This is the second Fiona Harrold book I have read.I like her style of writing, she is motivational and has good evidence and reasoning for her case studies and methods.I have to say, having read lots of Life Coach books, I do love this one the most. I read every single word! No skimming the pages. Fiona write as I can imagine she speaks as a mentor, there is plenty to think about and further reading I have found through the quotes and suggestions made.Above all, belive you can and you will, is the message I will take from this. I will look forward to finding more of Fiona's work. I have found it very inspiring

bought this book recently , and have to say am really pleased with it ... a real you can change whatever you need to but you have to put in to get out ... really useful exercises to complete and has been really helpful , its harsh in some areas, but pushes you from your comfort zone and gets you to take a long hard look at yourself .... wanting changes and want to be out of my comfort zone, and find self help books of real benefit to me inspiring and thought provoking but as i say you have to put the work in to take anything from it .... stops the procastination stops the negative self talk and turn it all into action but from completing the exercises you will see patterns that will provide you with a starting point for change . buy this read it and see real results

I have been a great enthusiast of self-improvement for many years. During the lockdown I started to take it seriously. However I cannot afford to hire a personal life coach and this book appears to be the next best thing. The author walks you through the process of coaching in a friendly non preachy manner. There are exercises and things to do in every chapter that you must do in order to see real improvement. I have been working with this book using a notebook and a pen and I have made great progress. Highly recommended if you are looking for a way to improve your life.

It did!! I always knew deep down I was worth so much more than working in a large office environment and receiving no respect or recognition. I borrowed this book, rather ironically, from my employers "training library" read it on holiday, came back, and within 2 months had found the courage to hand in my notice with no idea of what I was going to do next. Best thing I ever did! 2 years on, I run two successful businesses and am very very very much happier. I would recommend you buy this and read it with an open mind, and be brave!!

This book has lots of useful exercises in it but some of the content is really outdated. It would be good to have a revised version of the book brought up to current thinking on personal development.

I’ve read a lot of books on this subject, some of them are accepted classics but I have to say this one is exceptional and has everything in it who is looking for inspiration and improvement in their lives or like me is learning to become a life coach. It’s the sort of book you leave out and read over and over.

This really is like having your own life coach guiding you towards your best life. It features tests to determine aspects of your life and your true wishes and guidance towards achieving your desires. I found it so good I bought it also for both my daughters.

Dieses Buch ist super! Allerdings ist es nicht geeignet, wenn man nur ein bisschen nebenher lesen will. Stattdessen sollte man sich dazu verpflichten, jeden Tag an sich zu arbeiten und bis zum Ende des Buches dranzubleiben.Fiona Harrold lässt den Leser sogar einen Vertrag mit sich abschließen :DWer sich darauf einlässt, kann aus diesem Buch viel Positives für sein Leben mitnehmen.
