I bought “New Bible Commentary” following extensive research on various Bible commentaries available on the market. I wanted to have one volume book which will give context to the history of the Bible and provide a more in depth understanding of Bible content. I really like it.The seller WeBuyBook stated that book is in “very good condition” as I bought it second hand. When I received it I was pleasantly surprised that book appeared brand new in the superb condition. Excellent seller and excellent book! Excellent commentary really well put together and indepth. This will help you go deeper into the scriptures, it will help you to look at things differently. It also gives you a clear understanding of the historical times of their laws and culture when the books of the bible were written in. It gives you a clear understanding who wrote the scriptures an insight into who they were and to whom their audiences were. I am fully enjoying this I believe it will help you in your journey and strengthen your faith

Ok - but given the size I had hoped it would be more in-depth. Not my "go to" if I struggle to understand a biblical point and need a deeper understanding - I ordered the full set of Matthew Henry's commentary (6 Volumes) for that. As with all things, discernment needed directly from the Holy Spirit and the word of God.

A commentary for today's student.
