Hi, Lisa's husband Andy here. If you are new to either playing baseball or simply watching MLB on TV, then this is a wonderful starting companion to your journey. It covers a lot but doesn't over complicate. All that is missing now is a hotdog and a cold beer.

I am not a newcomer to baseball, if I were I might find that this book would be limited help in understanding the laws of the game. It does make the excuse, that it would require double the size of the book if they were explained in full! What laws are explained are sketchy and in no meaningful order. If you have a reasonable idea of the laws and maybe want to play the game, then it does describe in some detail the mechanics of becoming a player. Although, another great admission is poor description of the baseball field no measurements of any detail given. I enjoyed reading it but I notice the usual cover title did not include the usual "a reference for others" to which the book is more suited.

El libro, como la gran mayoría de la colección, es una guía muy completa y bien explicada, esta vez sobre el beisbol. Lo único es que hubiera preferido una edición mas actualizada, pues hay varios cambios en reglas y en las ligas desde que se publicó.
