This book has helped me to understand enough about electronics having bought some experimental starter kits, and I now know enough to make small electronic gizmos the actually make one seem intelligent without having to delve too deeply under the bonnet. If you would like to really understand how this all works all the information is there in an easy to understand format. Like other reviewers, I wish this information could have been available 50 years ago in such an easy to understand book.

I generally don't like the dummies books, but this one is excellent value for money.I've got lots of electronics books, but some of them go too deep and way above my head. This book teaches electronics in an easy way, while still going into a lot of detail.The book is huge!

This is a great book for the Square1 beginner. I originally compared it to a famous VW repair manual but Bolo's censorrythms called the title of that book "bad speaking". I truly recommend this book for the beginner.

It’s a basic book that’s easy to understand and few dad jokes thrown in. The multimeter tutorial (and a couple other topics) were a bit vague so I supplemented them with some you tube.It is a good idea to order a basic “breadboard kit” and multimeter when ordering the book for the lab projects that start in the first couple chapters. I also wish I had some other components such as 555 integrated circuits.I’m overall enjoying the book, it’s much fun as it is a huge book.

Zeker niet alleen voor dummies. Boek leest makkelijk ondanks de materie. Schrijver schrijft toegankelijk en demo schakeingen zijn goed na te bouwen.

I'm coming back to electronics after 20 years off, I bought this book and I thought it will help me to remember some info, this book is good only if you are starting from zero, I will give it 5 stars as it is still good for others.
