The much anticipated follow-up to ‘Sam Wu Is Not Afraid Of Ghosts’ that I SO enjoyed last time! (see my Review for that title)I was really excited about this great new series of books that began with the aforementioned title – I could hardly wait for this one, and had put my ‘Pre-Order’ in months ago!However, though this still had me in stitches too – and was hilarious up to about halfway through, it did begin to lose momentum somewhat. I’m REALLY reluctant to criticise it, as I SO wanted to continue to enjoy the series.Now, this DOES NOT mean I will not be Pre-Ordering the next title – just done so, don’t get me wrong; this was still a GREAT book, but I just felt it lacked the hilarity the first book had continually all the way through; it was just a tad better, because after about halfway, as stated, this one seemed to lose its way a bit... I guess there is a limit on how funny being afraid of Sharks can be, unlike ghosts which is pretty limitless! As it will be too (I hope) with the next subject coming up, which is the dark!Please try to keep up the good work guys – I think you;re on to a winner series here if you do! You won me over, and VERY rarely do I read a series of titles in any format of books – but your first definitely got me hooked, and was exceptional. This one – a tiny bit lacking in comparison, but let’s hope you get that momentum and hilarity back in the next one!Very much looking forward to the next title in this great and unique new series!

Sam Wu is pretty much afraid of everything lol. He goes to the aquarium and is scared of the … yes, shark as you've guessed by the title. we loved how the friends worked together and the illustrations are absolutely brilliant. Sam's grandmother is a hoot.This will appeal to fans of Tom Gates and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Cute book- high interest for higher level readers. I tried to read aloud to my kindergarteners and it was a bit over their head. I would recommend as a 2nd-5th grade read!
