5.0 out of 5 stars "Fun and Engaging: 'Yes! No (Maybe...): 8 (Tom Gates)'
In 'Yes! No (Maybe...): 8,' the eighth installment of the Tom Gates series, Liz Pichon delivers another delightful adventure. Tom Gates’ hilarious and relatable antics continue as he navigates school, family, and friendships. The book is filled with witty illustrations, engaging humor, and clever storytelling that will keep young readers entertained from start to finish. It's a great addition for fans of the series and a fantastic read for anyone looking for a fun and lighthearted book.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for avid AND reluctant readers
This is a great book for reluctant readers and I always have a couple of these books around in tutor time for the students who 'forget' to bring a reading book to tutor time. Several students have enjoyed them that they have gone on to read more books in the series. My 9 year old son isn't a reluctant reader, he devours books at a ridiculous rate, but he finds these books really fun too. It's great to find a book that will cross over the literacy levels and give kids books to bond over. I can't praise these books highly enough - if you like the other books in the series you'll love this one, and if you haven't read one yet - give it a go, you won't be disappointed. It doesn't really matter what order you read them in but if you haven't already started reading the series - the order they were published is:The Brilliant World of Tom GatesExcellent Excuses (And Other Good Stuff)Everything's Amazing (sort of)Genius Ideas (Mostly)Tom Gates is Absolutely Fantastic (at some things)Best Book Day Ever! 4.0 out of 5 stars More of the same
My son who is 8 and my daughter who is 12 still love the Tom Gates series, and demand the next book as soon as it comes out. I read them too because as a school librarian you know the children will be impressed if you're up to speed with the latest Tom Gates happenings. Tom Gates is pretty much universally popular. I haven't met a single child yet who didn't love him. This is pretty much the same as all the other books that went before. There are lots of doodles, lots of things you can do, lots of stuff you can identify with, lots of school/family stuff and very little actual plot. Tom is involved with Business day at school and at home his mum has decided they must clear out the house and make some money at a car boot sale. Tom's mum's birthday is looming and his dad needs to pull something spectacular out of the bag to keep her happy. Will he do it?Funny, non-challenging, perfect for transitional readers and a must have for nearly all children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than I expected
There wast minimal information about this book on Bolo so I was surprised when it arrived because it looks great. It’s a nice thick book and will keep my son busy for a while. It was delivered on time and in good condition.
5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
My son and I adore all of the Tom Gates books by Liz Pichon.
5.0 out of 5 stars A book I could not stop reading
My son enjoyed this book and this is what he said:"This really is a fantastic book! As I was reading it through, it just got better and better. Once when I was reading it in bed one evening, I was enjoying it so much that I just couldn't put it down! I kept on reading it right until I got to the very end. The end part has quite a bit of suspense. If you have not yet read it, I urge you to read it. You'll never want to stop reading it".
Great book
Mi hijo está obsesionado con Tom Gates, y tiene que ser en inglés, que es más divertido por los giros que utiliza. Y este título le ha encantado. / My son is obsessed with Tom Gates. He loved this title
Five Stars
Loved it!
Good book
Tom Gates can't decide what to do sometimes so he keeps thinking Yes! No. Maybe? Super Amazing book I liked the part in which the sketch book was there.
Reluctant Reader Approved
My reluctant reader loves these books! Highly recommend for boys grades 3-5. Mom and teacher approved even though super tongue in cheek!
