interesting and enlightening
5.0 out of 5 stars Helped me in a time of panic!
I started a Doctorate programme with zero knowledge of philosophy and yet it was one of the central modules! In panic I bought some books to get me started on the basics and this really did the job! It was very accessible. I would really recommend it if you wanted to dip your toe in, or if you're using it as a basis to help make sure you didn't sound like much of an eejit in front of your class! I'm now hardcore into philosophy!
3.0 out of 5 stars Dirty
The book arrived on time but unfortunately cake dirty and despite my efforts to clean it it appears to be stained. This is supposed to be a secret santa present but it looks pre-owned
5.0 out of 5 stars Cool!
Book is mini and I had expected a bigger annual style one, however it’s very cute and full of information. My sister loved them as a gift - great stocking fillers

5.0 out of 5 stars V good read
Very very nice book with concise information
I can finally read about philosophy
I am a science PhD and have an MBA and....I hate philosophy. I had a philosophy class for one semester in my first year of college and I just couldn't deal with it. I thought it was so stupid. Old folk asking dumb questions about trees falling in forests and not making sounds - wow, how exciting (sarcastic). But this introductory book actually explains things exceptionally well, and in a way that is easy to follow and will not put you to sleep (although it could do that too, in a good way, if you were to read it close enough to bedtime). The general structure of the book is chronological, and it holds your hand on a journey through the development of human intellectual thought from several hundred years B.C. to present. It describes how, why, and by whom our level of thinking about existence has progressed during this time period. It's a great little book. I highly recommend this book to all of my fellow human beings.
Good
Easy to read but still informative. I enjoyed it.
Good book
Well-written book that covers all the important parts of the history of Philosophy without being too complicated.
Aburridísimo
No me gustó.
I loved the boik
Excellent read
