About the Author

Claire Crompton has worked in the knitting industry for over 20 years. After a Knitwear Design degree she became a pattern designer for major yarn manufacturers such as Sirdar and DMC. She is the author of six titles in the Knitter's Bible series, and lives in Gunnislake, Cornwall.

Bought as a very early Christmas gift. Best thing ever. So neat and easy to read. Difficult patterns made so easy to follow with little chart on the back. Great for a beginner or advanced knitter. Would highly recommend. Delivered on time. Well packed.

This is a handy box of how to knit textured stitches each card is quite thick and easy to read, there is also a little booklet of how to cast on etc… so this would suit a beginner to even the more experienced knitters well worth investing in

This set of Knitting stitch cards has been produced by extracting some of the stitches from the Knitter's Bible by the same author. So you may not wish to buy them if you already have the book format. However, I have both the book and the card deck and I like the portable format of the card deck.The box is very sturdy and the cards are too. It's easy to pop a few cards in your knitting project bag to take with you while out and about.I have been using the cards to make blanket squares for a charity project - see the photos. This newly-published set of cards would make an ideal Christmas gift for a beginner or improving knitter or for a keen knitter who is in hospital and needs a portable project to keep them occupied.

I was hoping to learn to knit using different patterns. However, I now realise that I have become so comfortable using the basic 'garter stitch', that I will find it too frustrating trying to adapt to knitting patterns that require concentration. I cannot determine whether these cards would be suitable for beginners, but they are well constructed and fully functional.
