I’ve read all of her books, this one the most depressing ever. Centres around prostitutes, poverty,, drug taking, violence towards women. Steph runs a women’s refuge, there’s complications, issues, relationship battles. The whole book was dreary and didn’t keep my attention. Her earlier books are so much better.
