5.0 out of 5 stars Tom Kerridge
Brilliant Pub Recipes from Tom. Suitable to try in the home kitchen with lots of tips and helpful advise.Good Value for money. My new GO to Cookery Book
4.0 out of 5 stars It’s a book for cooks
At first pass through the book I was left feeling this is not pub grub. On taking my time it struck me this really was gastro pub grub at a high level. Spoons it is not! What does this mean? Well it’s not for someone who wants a quick bite or someone who is not a confident cook. The recipes are relatively complex and can be ingredient rich, but with that will come a depth of taste and a satisfying meal. Anyone who likes cooking and is happy to spend time in the kitchen should be well rewarded with these recipes. Many of these recipes are new tastes to me and it will be interesting to cook them. Grab a glass of wine, put some tunes on and give this a try. Your tastebuds will be rewarded.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best cook book for Gastropub lovers
I have always loved good pub food. Sadly, many of them have since closed from my childhood. However, I still seek out great gastropubs and enjoy the delicious modern British food that continues to evolve and embrace the diversity of many great dishes influenced from different cultures. In my opinion, this books celebrates the best of those dishes. I have long awaited for a cook book like this. The layout and instructions appear easy to follow for a cook who is not the most confident and has three young children to please. All the recipes look amazing and I cannot wait to try them out!
3.0 out of 5 stars It's OK but not wowed
I have a good number of Tom Kerridge books. I love his style of food, he has a great personality and some of his recipes are my favourite dishes to cook at home. I do feel a little disappointed with this book though (as I was the last book too) and wonder if it is a problem of perhaps having too many of his recipes now. I have only cooked one recipe so far, the curry with saffron rice. I love a curry, have a number of books dedicated to currie,s but looked forward to trying a simple, Tom inspired recipe. I was not wowed by it though. It was OK and I guess it was like I might get from a pub (although the cheaper end pub). Yes, it is a 'Pub Kitchen' book but it is by Tom Kerridge so I thought may have been slightly elevated (like many of his dishes are). I will try a few more but maybe if you have a lot of Tom's books, this one might not be for you, if you don't (or a lot of cookbooks in general) then this may be a great purchase.
Great recipes
Made sausage rolls, can't wait to get stuck in making more.. FYI sausage rolls were demolished soon after coming out oven
Inspiring, and amazing tasting food (if you follow the recipe!)
Lots of detailed recipes, but if you follow them, as they are written, the results are terrific. Accurately sticking to ingredients, measurements and directions are all you need to cook like Tom and others.
Excellent recipes
A very initeresting cookery book, both to give ideas and as a coffee table book, since it has beautiful photos !
