5.0 out of 5 stars Baldacci continues to come up with novel plots that weave stories that are difficult to put down
Great plot, well written and most enjoyable. I look forward to his next one which i hope will be soon.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good book
I read Michael Connolly (Bosch) and similar and it's very similar which I liked. The one thing I found very strange was the author describing every characters clothing in detail. Every person that came into it was described down to their shoes and socks without it being relevant whatsoever
5.0 out of 5 stars Good read
Good read. I like all his books.
5.0 out of 5 stars Different.
Wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this book (especially after reading the blurb), as I’m more into thrillers that have a modern day feel about them but I’ve got to admit that I’m really glad that I decided to read this book because it truly is a great story, it’s easy going and really riveting to read and I really do like the fact that David has used is wording in this book, to illustrate exactly how people would have spoken in the era. It really helps to captivate your imagination.
4.0 out of 5 stars Slow burner but worth it
I found the beginning of the book little slow but it then grows into a novel of intrigue and investigations Archer is a complex character who grows as the novel goes deeper
5.0 out of 5 stars Grateful reader
I liked this book because of the twists and turns it's very entertaining. I would recommend to anyone. I love David's writing.
3.0 out of 5 stars A dollar if Bill ever read this!
Easy reading but a pretty contrived plot. My second novel by this author, I enjoyed the first set in the present and thought I would dip into this period piece, led on by the reviews and the blurb saying ex-president Bill gushed about the book. Having read it, I doubt he did, or if he did he clearly doesn’t read much.Three stars from me, an OK if forgettable read. Will stick to his more modern output in future.
5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly surprised
I've enjoyed all the David Baldacci series so far but had been put off starting the Aloysius Archer series by the relatively poor reviews on here. However, I think One Good Deed is now one of my favourites of his books. He builds the atmosphere of rough and ready Poca City fantastically and peoples it with strong and interesting characters. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Great read, looking forward to book two
Well written, good page turner. So pleased, that there were no offensive words, which is hard to find these days .Really liked Archer, endearing character, that was easy to respond to. Enjoy all Baldassi books, my favourite author, has done it again , most enjoyable, look forward to seeing this character develop.
Captivating
I have read a lot of Baldacci but after the Camel Club this is the book that had captivated me totally. I hadn't finished the first and I had already bought the No 2. Lots of twists and the aura of 50s built geniously.
A good deed acheté cette semaine. Passionnant à ne plus lâcher jusqu'à la fin.
C'est un roman de Harlan Coben qui se lit d'un trait. Passionnant;
