About the Author
Author and Illustrator Carmen Duncan studied Fine Arts with an emphasis in painting and drawing. Carmen has love of color and mixed mediums and has shown her works in many art show and gallery settings. This is her first venture into children's books although the poem that inspired the story was written when she was 12 years old. Her mother saved the poem and encouraged her to put it into book form for many years. A life-time lover of children's fiction and illustration she finally took the time to listen to her mom and adapted her childhood poetry into this charming escape back to a simpler time of wonder, safety, freedom and play.
