Nothing to do with text. But I ordered two different paperback books. And the The Frog that ate my sandwich was cheaply made. The outer cover was a lot thinner than other children's paperback book and compared to the other book I bought.So much thinner that I even thought someone's making copies of this book and selling them on. It won't last 5 mins in a class at school. Disappointing for the price.

I found the story was too difficult to follow for a 4 Yr old (which is within the age range targeted) and it was very American using terms he wouldn't understand. Also, I felt the book was very flimsy for the price.

Not well written at all, the story just rambles and should be more concise if this is meant for early reading. Also too long and my child lost interest halfway through, especially when the frog hadn't even eaten the sandwich.

Cute illustrations
Cute illustrations, cute story, but they should have hired an editor. Spelling mistakes (peak instead of peek; pants leg on one page but pant leg on the other; ribit for ribbit) and more.
Little Boys Love Frogs
This was the cutest book ever!! I bought it to read to my grandson. I forgot how much fun it would be for a little boy to see that cute little frog on the cover. It was just amazing how his his eyes lit up when he saw that frog peaking out from the grass!! He finally settled down enough so that we could read the book together but when we were done all he wanted to do was to go out and find a frog of his own!! He really loves the story and kept asking about Walter's family. I had a lot of explaining to do with that because it's starting to get cold and frogs are few and far between this time of the year. I think we've already read this book at least a half a dozen times if not more. He's put it on his nightstand so it's there when he goes to bed and when he wakes up. I hope there's a sequel so we can see if "Walter" comes back to visit again. Great job for a first time author!!

Cute book
I ordered 3 copies of this book to give to my great nephews and granddaughter. The books arrived when expected, and in excellent condition. The art work is great - bright colors and fun drawings. This is a fun story that young children will enjoy having read to them. Ages of children these were purchased for range from 2 to 4 yrs. I believe the story would be enjoyed by children up to 8 yrs at least.

My 8 year old says "definitely 5 stars that this is really good for just a children's book" so who am I to disagree?
