This book is a must-have for anyone interested in degree apprenticeships. Whether you're a parent guiding a student or applying yourself, this guide makes the application process clear and easy to understand. As a parent, I found this book incredibly helpful. The author does a fantastic job of explaining everything, making it easy to digest. I'm currently using it to support my nephew, who is starting his final year of A-levels this September. My daughter also benefited from the author's expertise. She participated in the author's degree apprenticeship mentoring program run by her company, Everything D&I, and successfully secured an offer at a leading global consultancy firm. This book is packed with great material. It's the perfect guide for anyone looking for a competitive edge, whether you're in the middle of your application process or planning to apply in the future. I highly recommend purchasing this book early on!

5.0 out of 5 stars Much needed authoritative guide on degree apprenticeships

This book is an essential read for anyone considering what path to follow post secondary education/college. The written style is clear, informative and practical, giving insights in to what a degree apprenticeship entails, how to find opportunities and most importantly how to navigate this highly competitive recruitment process, so you put your best foot forward.I loved the section that compared a degree apprenticeship to a more typical University degree experience in a simple easy to digest table.Other key selling points are the focus on the excellent degree apprenticeship programmes offered by Accenture, Microsoft & Rolls Royce, which takes you through what to expect, the company culture and values. Other hidden gems are the student perspective sections; there is nothing better than to hear first hand from students who have actually undertaken a degree apprenticeship.Glad to see this book filling a huge gap in the market!

This book was absolutely amazing! It isn't too long but it still manages to cover the essential points and goes into depth about degree apprenticeships.I most enjoyed reading the different interviews of current degree apprentices, which tells more about their day to day life and experiences. Moreover, the section in the book that compares university with degree apprenticeships - highlighting the pros and cons of each, is fantastic! The ability to not only help students perceive what a degree apprenticeship is like and about, but to also help parents become more knowledgeable on the subject is one that I am most impressed with, as I believe that parents sometimes are only aware of the traditional university route and this can deter their children from the opportunities that degree apprenticeships have to offer. If you are a current A level student in year 12 or 13, a parent of a child in school at any age or even a GCSE student or younger, this book will be great for you to explore and understand the world of degree apprenticeships.Amazing job to the author for spreading the awareness that is much needed about degree apprenticeships. 👏🏾
