Good read

Good book to have around if traveling to Boston. Good ideas on restaurants and where to eat

Editors didn't do their research

C.H. · 25 September 2022

Update: Found several other closed restaurants and attractions (that have been closed well over a year) being advertised, despite LP advertising "Up-to-date information - all businesses were rechecked before publication to ensure they are still open after 2020’s COVID-19 outbreak" in the item description. It honestly feels like LP got lazy with this guide, updated the cover art, made a few pandemic nods, and slapped a nearly $30 CAD price tag on it.Contacted LP directly about this, recieved a very nonchalant and generic response. Ended up submitting a return request, disappointed as I usually love LP guides and have come to collect them over the years. I recommend 111 Places in Boston as an alternative.Original review: I'm 1/3 of the way through, and so far I've already caught two restaurants that are advertised several times (Gaslight and Boston Beerworks), only to find that they're permanently closed and have been closed for at least a year. And these ate just the ones I've looked up, I imagine there are more closed restaurants being advertised in this guide.I understand the pandemic has wreaked havoc on the industry. My understanding was each time LP published an updated guide, they verified their information before submitting to the printer. These guides aren't cheap, so I hope LP will do a better job of fact checking.

Mi aspettavo molto meglio da questa guida, di solito quelle della stessa collana sono ottime. Questa mi ha deluso. Peccato
