I've been to quite a few conferences and workshops on workforce planning but transferring what I learnt back in the workplace always seemed hard. I'd call this book the definitive guide - it has so many tools that you can use in the real world with those you partner. It's a process / cycle that makes sense and is evidence based. I'm also truly grateful it's written in as plan English as is possible on such a weighty topic.

I just bought the book ‘Agile Workforce Planning’ and all I can say after reading the 1st chapter is 5*s for the overview on the 7 Rights of workforce planning. The book will definitely be my reference book for workforce planning.

Applicable in so many ways to all workplaces. As a Head of Department in a Secondary school (perhaps not the usual target of SWP literature), Gibson's writing is clear, funny and instantly applicable.

Got my copy of the book last week and working my way through it but it is really well written, intuitive to work with and gives really good insight into the thinking and tools needed for successful workforce planningBringing insight from a broad experience ranging from front-line military operations to board-rooms, leads to an engaging and very readable book.Highly recommended to anyone involved in workforce planning or those who want to have a better understanding of how agile thinking supports effective planning
