Book looks pretty good but bit disappointed to find that the accommodation and restaurant suggestions for each of the areas around Florence and other cities in Tuscany is quite sparse . I suppose they assume people will use tripadvisor but I find online reviews can be biased and I missed seeing the frank lonely planet reviews and recommendations for sleeping/ eating in this short handbook. Perhaps try a different guidebook if that’s what you’re after ….

My partner and I have both visited Italy separately, but this was our first time together, and first time in Tuscany for both of us. This little book was brilliant as a starting point for ideas of places to visit and things to avoid! Definitely worth the money

A guide packed full of useful information
A beautiful gift for someone special
This was purchased as a gift for someone lucky enough to be planning a trip to Italy. I read part of it first (the best part of giving someone a book) and the photos are gorgeous and the travel tips worthwhile. The recipient loved it as it helped her plan ahead for her travels.

What's around Florence
The book is easy to care, easy to read, and highlights the "must go to places". Read it before I left, while I was there, and afterwards matched my pictures to it to create a travel log.
Promises more than it is
The document contained many so-called fact which were outdated.It should be mentioned in the document that the target group for this document is between 18-27 year old backpackers. For them it contain some valuable tips. But the wrong information is still valid for them.I will not by anymore Lonely Planet books because this was already 3rd disappointment.
