5.0 out of 5 stars Cameo heaven!
I’m not a huge comic fan but I’ve read quite a few marvel ones and own a Young Avengers one and now House of M. If I’m being completely honest with you, I weren’t expecting it to be as good as it was. It made sense too as I haven’t read the ones before it and would have no clue where to start! Some of the text and images was hard to see as the pages bent and it carried over, (shown above in the spidey pic)Also Peter was such a mood the whole time, his comments where just amazing and peak gen z humour. The art is so amazing I was astounded! (Pics don’t do it justice)Also as an MCU fan all the references and links were just amazing, especially now with them introducing characters like Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Shang-Chi and Daredevil to the MCU it all fit so well and there was links to all 3 spidermen’s lives including Peter’s want to for Stephen to erase memories. I loved that it included Luke Cage and Iron Fist and all iconic X-Men character too, and had some references to MCU Pietro and X-MU Peter, like Lorna and the twin’s close relationship and don’t get me wrong I know it all comes from comics but being a film fan not a comic fan I just loved how many references there was to every corner of the MCU with rly cool cameos. For those interested, this also features Logan being a father to a child he just met, yet again and has some links to Multiverse of MadnessWith Marvel introducing these characters like Moon Knight and She-Hulk and Peter Maximoff pretending to be Pietro in WandaVision and bringing Murdock into the mainstream Marvel films I genuinely think they’re building up to House of M throughout the next few phases like how phase 1-3 built up to Thanos and the Infinity saga with Endgame. They’ve already started with the multiverse theorem and X-Men slowly merging with Avengers through cameos and the Young Avengers too like Kate, Yelena, Peter, America, Kamala, Shuri, Billy & Tommy.. etcIf I were to say one bad thing it would be it doesn’t list where the story carries onto and the name of the next book that continues the storyAnyway sorry for the ramble, I used standard delivery for free and it was very quick! Hope this helps anyone xx
5.0 out of 5 stars House of m
I think its a really good story definitely in my top 10 favourite marvel stories of all time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Simply superb
I decided to finally read this book after watching the Wandavision series and trying figure out what on earth was going on. Brian Bendis often gets a lot of flak from comic book fans but when he’s on it he’s one of the best there is. His ultimate Spider-Man, miles morales, Jessica jones and daredevil books are up there with the best, his superman stuff maybe less so. Anyway house of M is vintage Bendis. It starts after the events of Genosha where Wanda had a complete breakdown and is now considered a threat to the whole marvel universe (yes she really is that powerful). Wolverine wants her dead, captain America disagrees and a distraught quiksilver goes to dad magneto and asks for help “what would you have me do” is the reply. Anyway, one by one the marvel heroes disappear and wolverine wakes up in a world that is very different. He is the only one who just knows that the new reality is not right. There ensues an epic battle as the X Men and Avengers go to confront Magneto and try and reverse Wandas actions. It’s great stuff and all I will say is that you see just how powerful the Scarlet Witch is, so much better than the weak character we saw in the Infinity War movie - Thanos eat your heart out !!
4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good X-Men story will satisfy even new readers
To start off, let’s talk about the book itself. The pages are thicker than normal, which Indint have any complaints about, the presentation is nice and, most importantly for new readers, there’s a small 1-page backstory at the start. As for the price, I got it for around £10, which is £5 off what if usually is. I’d recommend waiting for it to go down to below £15, as I personally think that £15 is asking a bit much. Now, in terms of story, it’s pretty good. This has been my first X-Men books, with no prior knowledge aside from the movies, and I was pretty satisfied. The story, about what happens when Scarlet Witch becomes mentally unstable and wreaks havoc upon the world, is a pretty good and interesting one. The writing was alright, nothing special, no complaints there except for the dialogue, which was a bit bland, and that the story starts of a bit slow. Issue 2 might leave you scratching your head a bit, but just go with it till Issue 3 and 4, where things start to pick up a bit and it all makes a bit more sense. The art was a bit chaotic for me, sometimes leaving me disorientated as to what’s happened and in which order it’s happening. Might just be me. The ending holds a great twist, one which is leading me to buy some of the post-House of M stories. Not much else to say. Overall, a solid story. My only complaint is that the whole thing felt a bit empty, might have been the writing or the characters or the dialogue. I’d give it a 7/10
5.0 out of 5 stars Great comic story, book good!
Book is laid out well, good quality. Paper is glossy so has that sheen on the paper which can make reading difficult in certain lighting.Otherwise, solid purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars A must read if your an xmen fan

It's great that my 9 year old son loves reading these as he doesn't enjoy reading standard school storybooks.
5.0 out of 5 stars Holds up
Great artwork, great paper quality for TP. Received a surge in popularity after the WandaVision hype but this is a great story

Amazing story!
Couldn't put it down
Of all the event books Bendis has wrote, this is the only one I liked. I really loved this book. I wasn't expecting it to be as amazing as it is. It is very smartly written, feels very cinematic in a good way. The story really stuck to me after I read it. Really good, highly recommend picking this up.
Great addition to my collection
Must have
