A good, informative read. As someone who doesn't intend to move to the UAE, it's interesting to get a unique perspective on Dubai which has been backed by a lot of research. Well written and easy to read. Would recommend to anyone who's interested in world affairs as this book offers a unique perspective on an otherwise secretive and closed off place.

This may well be the authors first book, i sincerely hope it's his last. If you're looking for a balanced view of life in Dubai then I'd advise you keep looking. This book paints a bleak picture framed by only by the authors negative experiences of his time in the Emirate. It's a real shame but it's the truth. It's so bad i'm planning on returning the book, a first in my life.
