i love the layout of this book and how some of the questions are so positive and can actually evoke very positive memories , it does not really get into anything deep and hurtful, it is lighthearted but yet to the point which i love , a lovely present overall , the questions also are small so can be filled out quite quickly and the bok can be done in sections day by day in spare time

Bigger than expected, nice journal with good question prompts. Some of the wording is American (eg grade/high school etc) but easily adapted. Nice basic family tree with a page of notes after so can add in info, especially good if you have blended families. Lots of notes pages so can add extra info or pictures. Would recommend.

Despite the reviews of it being American based, it still works well. The concept is the same, you can just change the wording. I find the entries to be quite good to answer and I’m looking forward to my kids reading this in future. The quality of the book is good. Yes it’s a thinner style book but the overall quality isn’t affected. The front cover isn’t flimsy as some have said.

I bought this for my sister a Christmas present she is always telling her children and grandchildren stories from our past we come from a family of ten so we all had plenty of stories my daughter bought one for me to give back to her after I fill it in.its a beautiful colour plenty of family tree to fill in.if you are stuck at what to buy for someone you really can't go wrong.

I was disappointed by how thin the pages are, especially the cover. After the first flick through the cover curled up.Much of the text inside is good but it's squewed towards the US market and isn't always relevant in the UK

I’m enjoying completing this for my daughter. It’ll be wrapped in cellophane and she’ll get it when I’m no longer here. It’s bringing back lovely memories that I have and would like my daughter to read one day and she’ll forever have a sample of my hand writing. A nice keep sake for your kids

I actually bought two different books to compare and this one allowed a paragraph for small prompts and more space for bigger ones. Comparatively I will use this more because the questions are more broken down, specific or in depth them the other book. I think this is a great tool for getting to know your mother, especially when communication isn’t part of your relationship.
Excellent Guide
This is a very comprehensive list of questions that your parent might get a bit sick of after a while! But it’s a great place to start documenting wonderful facts and memories about your parent. You can pick and choose what is most suitable and it prompts other stories and experiences which is a beautiful experience to share. Very happy with it.
