5.0 out of 5 stars Thrilling Jack Widow adventure.
Exciting "can't turn the page fast enough" episode ( or should I say two linked episodes 12 years apart) in Jack Widow's longing nomadic existence. Past events in his time as a navy seal on black ops. catch up with Jack in the form of an ex North Korean elite sniper. To my mind this is one of the most exciting reads to date - up there with other top thriller writers like Lee Child, David Baldacci, Greg Hurwitz etc.. I would say four and three quarter stars ... I feel that, in common with some of the other Jack Widow novels, the ending is rather abrupt. Everything is resolved at the end but all rather quickly. I feel that it just needed a little more reflection and interaction of the characters at the conclusion. There would be a few more words exchanged with one or two of the supporting characters. But maybe I'm wrong....
4.0 out of 5 stars Unique storyline
Intriguing novel with unexpected outcomes, twists and turns.Storyline brings together military and domestic events in a unique manner; enjoyable and much recommended.
5.0 out of 5 stars All action
This was a very enjoyable read and full of action. Widow dips into a crisis and helps to bring it to a suitably violence resolution but does not longer - what happens the supporting characters is not relevant for it is about Widow and he has to get on the road again.
5.0 out of 5 stars loved
Love the narration of Alan Phillip OrmondThe best Snipers in the world are slowly been killed.... by another sniper. Jack finds himself in the middle of it all. From a train accident, an old rescue mission , North Korean , loss of men and a young girl, that haunts him.Jack is calm and finds a way out.Brilliant
4.0 out of 5 stars Crime/ex forces saga.
Decent enough read, with believable characters. However the ending was too short, needed more depth and another 30 pages. Left me wanting.
3.0 out of 5 stars Usual sub Reacher stuff
Every gun named and described- check. Breaking noses - don’t think he does. He’s more trouble than Jessica Fletcher off of Murder She Wrote. And as usual, the editing is appalling. But plot is one of the more interesting/unusual ones.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great
I found this book a great read. It keeps pulling you on to the next chapter. The story flows like all good books do. Thanks
4.0 out of 5 stars Reasonable storyline.
A reasonable storyline that has Widow doing very little and depending on others. While as said the storyline is reasonable unfortunately many questions are left unanswered. Not a usual Jack Widow thriller.
heart pounding
One of the more intense suspenseful novels of the series so far.Makes you always wonder if these types of characters exist IRL
I Recommend It
Its a great series, I like the character and the writers style and attention to details. This book is one of the best so far, after reading 11 of them.
Don't miss this series
Each book gets better than it's predecessor. Highly recommend giving the hero Jack Widow some of your valuable time. Scott won't disappoint you for sure.
Fast moving and thrilling, horrific episodes ...
What a series of truly horrific, yet addictive reading. JackWidow survives from one cliff-hanger to another. There is always the next nightmare ...
book 9
Just can’t get enough, I have enjoyed every book so far, it’s going to be br a sad day. When I finish the last book, I would recommend this book as all the others so far
