5.0 out of 5 stars I applaud the author for writing this book!
ADHD is now impacting millions upon millions of children and adults alike. I have never considered the impact this could be having on teachers. This book offers guidance, support for the teachers dealing with ADHD in the classroom. It will also help all the children in the classroom.
Very helpful book
Interesting book for educators to help handle identifying potential kids struggling with ADHD. The author provides various assessment strategies and tools like Response to Intervention (RTI), curriculum based measurement, office discipline, School Wide Information System (SWIS) software, and other various programs and tools. I like the mindset of this book of creating inclusive environments for adhd kids - the quote from the book “Most teachers and adults could benefit from pretending that all kids in their class have ADHD—what is good for kids with ADHD is good for all kids” is so true! The author also touches upon how the the Department of Education investigates complaints about schools not supporting students with disabilities, protecting them from discrimination so it’s important with this mandate for teachers to figure out how best to support these students. School districts are also required to provide student evaluations at no cost. This book is super helpful to any parent who has a child with ADHD and wants to know what the school system offers for your child as well as any teacher who is struggling with ADHD children in their class. It also goes over strategies across all ages from elementary to middle to high school aged kids.
Comprehensive guide
This book offers a practical approach to addressing ADHD-related behaviors. The step-by-step techniques and clear explanations are helpful for educators looking for immediate solutions. However, the book might benefit from a more in-depth exploration of how these strategies can be tailored to address the specific learning needs of students with varying ADHD presentations. For teachers seeking a deeper understanding of individual student needs, this book might serve best as a starting point for further research.
Good book
In today's environment, education brings a number of obstacles, one of which is satisfying the varied requirements of all pupils. I have frequently found it difficult to meet the requirements of my students who have attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). For me, however, this book has completely altered the course of my life. My thinking has been expanded on how I might be more creative in meeting their requirements, and it presents instances that are applicable to real-world situations. It is my firm belief that any educator who is confronted with challenges like to those described in this book would find it to be of great benefit.
Transformative ADHD Classroom Strategies
An invaluable tool for any educator. This guide offers effective, research-based strategies for managing ADHD behaviors across all school levels. It enhances student engagement and promotes a supportive learning environment. Essential for teachers committed to fostering academic success in diverse classrooms.
Great Guide
While this book is specifically targeted at teachers, anyone that works with young folks could benefit from the information. This book provides solid information on how to get the most out of children with ADHD in a learning environment. I especially appreciated the section on positive discipline.
