LEADERSHIP knowledge at its best

A.K. · 21 November 2022

This is one of the BEST books on LEADERSHIP currently on the market: It is concise, to the point and contains lots of interactive exercises that can be used in a variety of contexts - in your leadership team meetings, when coaching others, finding more out about yourself or in class when you are teaching a LEADERSHIP course. I will most definitely use it in one of my next LEADERSHIP university courses.

A great leadership toolbox!

M.B. · 3 November 2022

Working in a leadership position, developing your leadership skills or reflecting about your own leadership style, preparing a workshop or even teaching leadership, this is a valuable and easy-to-read overview. The book opens with a nice overview of what is leadership and then guide the reader toward a personal reflection about leadership traits, skills, and behaviors. Thus, the author presents an overview about how to lead, shared leadership, and transformational leadership. The focus then moves to contemporary challenges and concludes with a presentation of tools and techniques. The book is well written and takes the reader straight to the point. Those who are less familiar with leadership literature will find a valuable introduction to the topic. Those with a more advance practical or theoretical understand will find precious map of the core topics in the discipline.I particularly like the online compendium containing a mind map per each chapter, links to videos and additional resources, and interactive flash cards.I will certainly use the book for a personal reflection about my leadership style and a toolbox when organizing workshops.

A highly valuable learning tool

F.R. · 12 November 2022

This book is a key tool for understanding the roots of leadership. The author provides step-by-step guidance to readers from the essential theoretical foundations of leadership (e.g., the different theoretical perspectives addressing the topic), to the key tools and techniques supporting and implementing leadership skills.Notably, the book does not only offer an overview of key concepts and tools supporting leadership, but also offers some key insights about the contemporary challenges of leadership, which are rigorously discussed building upon a sound knowledge of the most recent scientific literature on the topic.I really enjoyed reading this book, which, I believe, represents a great companion for any leadership course, and, moreover, for any student or professional in the path of developing and implementing its own leadership skills.

Leadership is a process

I cannot agree more with the author of this book, being a leader is not trivial.Even with my 15+ years of leadership experience the book offered me new food for thoughts and lots of input for self reflection. A must read for every leader that wants to become better every day.
