5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect
Perfect for short writings and notes.light to carry with soft pages which I like alot
5.0 out of 5 stars If I heard that Moleskine were discontinuing this notebook, I would purchase a lifetimes supply!
I have been using these Cashier Plain Pocket Journals for the best part of 10 years now. For me they are the perfect note book. They look lovely and their size is perfect to carry around in a pocket. Add a small pen and you have a great combination to capture thoughts, poems, literary ideas or sketch.I love a blank page, particularly a plain note book; it is so versatile and full of possibilities. The paper quality is excellent and it feels great to write on either with a roller ball or a fountain pen.I generally keep the books for separate and discrete functions. Prayer diary, things I read and want to capture, writing ideas etc. In this way, these journals become works of art and memory in their own right. Something to keep and treasure. The back 16 pages are perforated which might be useful for some. The back page also has a useful pocket which can hold other paperwork - business cards and flyers you might pick up whilst out and about. If I heard that Moleskine were discontinuing this notebook, I would purchase a lifetime supply!
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant notebooks, old school look and brilliant quality
Perfect notebooks, I use them for everything. Well worth the price.
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice paper, but thin
These are great for pencil sketches, with smooth, creamy paper, but at 70gsm, it is thin and easily shows through.I bought 'large', but in truth they are only 21cm by 13cm, which makes them the same height, but narrower than A5. I would more accurately call this 'small'.The binding makes it difficult to keep the paper flat, especially towards the end, and also at the end you need to put something between the paper and the pocket, to prevent ridges showing through. These are slim, lightweight notebooks, fairly insubstantial, but you don't have so much 'new notebook' fear with something like this!
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for a Jacket Pocket.
The size of these books is just perfect for a jacket pocket. I once worked for a manger who told me that the less you carried to a meeting, the more important you are. This book lets me look important - it fits in my jacket. I use these cahiers as my daily notebook for meetings etc. I use the black covered books and they look well. The covers are black cardboard. When the book is full, I index the book by writing on the cover (using gold and silver pens).I typically use 4 cahiers in a year. However, the busier you are.. the more you use. There are detachable pages at the back of the notebook (a surprisingly useful feature) and a basic "pocket" in the inside back cover (it will not hold much - a ticket, receipts or index cards).Personally I use plain paper (no markings) and the ivory in colour and it looks well. The paper is not the best but it works with fountain pen ink (but not all I use) and pencil. With clients I use a Lamy 2000 EF with Lamy's Blue Black ink. If you have a broader nib, this will put down a "wetter" line and you can get some bleed and "show through".In summary, the size is perfect and the paper is "good enough".

5.0 out of 5 stars Set of 3 Plain Journals - Softcover
This is a different style of 'book' from other Moleskine products I have bought, for several reasons.1. It is a set of three Plain Journals.2. The cover is made of thin brown card, similar to the card used to make traditional stencil plates before the linseed oil is applied. It is a soft-cover not the hard-cover as suggested in the Bolo listing that is usual on Moleskine books.3. The journals are stitched the length of the spine, not stapled or glue. They resemble a high quality school exercise or copy book.4. Each journal is 80 plain pages with the last 16 sheets detachable, 13x21cm, on a cream acid-free paper.5. The inner pocket on the back cover is created by a fold over flap glued on the bottom edge; not the expandable pocket of hard-covered Moleskines. All this makes for a more portable notebook that is lighter weight with the flex of a soft-cover making it more friendly to put into a coat pocket.
5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible quality worth every penny!
Great quality! Worth every penny!
Just as expected
Good quality, decent size.
Perfect
Bought to make my own Reading Journal, it works perfectly for the job!!
