SANFORD-Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencil Set. These colored pencils are artists' quality pencils for every level of expertise. Pencils contain high quality pigments for a rich color saturation and feature soft; thick cores which create a smooth color lay-down for superior blending and shading and the thick leads resist breakage. This package contains one 8-3/4x4-3/8x3/8in tin with twelve pencils: PC903; PC909; PC912; PC916; PC918; PC924; PC932; PC933; PC935; PC938; PC945 and PC946 and a bonus art stix: a woodless colored pencil core for coverage of large areas (art stix colors vary). Contents conform to ASTM D4236. Made in USA.

I have just received this pack of twelve Prismacolor Premier pencils, so this is just a preliminary review. I shall enlarge upon it when I have a bit more experience using them.Having read several negative reviews about poor delivery and broken pencils I feel that my initial experience is important.This set of twelve is packed in a dedicated tin and firmly held by a plastic tray. It is then packed into a strong Bolo envelope, of the sort that we are all familiar with.The package was then pushed through my letterbox and so fell to the floor.I am sure this is always the delivery method.On examination, the tin was not damaged or dented in any way, and after viewing my pencils, I found none to be broken and all were held firmly in their places.I have had no problems with sharpening them with my Jakar manual desktop pencil sharpener which I used slowly and carefully.I have started using my pencils, although my usage has been limited as yet, and I am amazed at the brightness and clarity of the colours and how little pressure is needed.My only disappointment is that I could not afford a larger set - but I have a birthday in a few months so I can start dropping broad hints now.From my initial findings, I am happy to recommend these Prismacolor 'PREMIER' Pencils but be careful, Prismacolor does have other varieties, Premier is artist quality and is the only one that I have triedThis is an update on my earlier review -I have enjoyed using these pencils and the newly added photo is of a sample using mainly Prismacolor pencils with just a few extra colours from another brand of artist-grade pencils.The pencils have sharpened to a nice point without any breakages and they are capable of coping with small details as well as larger spaces.For those who are not too sure of the correct way to sharpen, or the best way to use, these artist-quality little treasures I suggest that you make an exploratory visit to a number of the freely available tutorials or join one of the blogs dedicated to various pencil brands.There is so much information out there and all of it is fascinating.

I was so happy to see them come the next day i have always wanted these pencils for art supplies collection and was overjoyed to hold them lol they are soft ,blend well and the colours have amazing pigment i am still learning how to do art but these pencils are so good they really helped me through art block i very much recommend they are worth every penny . I tried to draw the butterfly its not that good because i was just messing around testing them but they are a big thumbs up from me

These were great pencils! The pigment was great, the lead was soft so it was easier to blend than other pencils but.. I found them very hard to sharpen because the lead kept breaking

The nib is very soft leading to intense, vibrant colors that work on all surfaces (including black paper) it is easy to sharpen and great value for price.

I use a variety of mediums for my art but have recently started using pencil crayons. Didn’t realise how good the art can look. These pencils were recommended and are not cheap but excellent for softness, blending and building up of colours. Worth paying the money for these. I am very impressed!

High Quality Pencils
I bought this to take with me on the go for sketching when I have down time. This are some of the best colored pencils I have used. They are a bit pricey but they are worth every penny. They come off so smooth and blend very well. I have not had an issues with broken leds in the pencils either. The only down side is that there are only 12 of them so you have a limited color palette.Pros:- Quality- CaseCons:- CostThese are some of the best quality colored pencils I have ever owned and it was the first of many primsacolor art supplies I now own.

Beautiful twelve colour as shown. Provides a mooth laying down of colour! Pencils were all sharpened with smooth tip. None were broken. Will buy more of these pencils in a bigger set.

The pencils are so creamy smooth and the blending is so good! Colours are so vibrant too. I haven't found an indian brand that is comparable to this one.

Ha sido un regalo para mi hija de 9 años que le encanta el dibujo, pese a su corta edad es una autodidacta de tecnicas de dibujo y esta encantada!. Los trazos de los colores tienen una cremosidad que permite difuminar y crear tonalidades de maravilla!!
