No idea how anyone can actually lose a potato masher (possibly nestling in the depths of a recently replaced dishwasher? Seems to be the only explanation!). Anyway, this is the perfect replacement, top quality product, easy to clean and far superior to the run of the mill mashers from supermarkets. Well worth the price. Chef no longer distraught.

This is the sort of masher I grew up using. It's sturdy, easy to clean, and makes short work of potatoes (or parsnips, cauliflower, swede, etc), whether you want them smooth or chunky. Should last for years! I particularly like that this is solid stainless steel with no plastic parts, and that there aren't any holes for water to creep into the handle. Very clean, quality design in that regard, and nothing that could conceivably break or snap off in time.

Potato Masher
I love this product. I had been searching for a potato masher to replace my 30 year old one and there it was. It is beautifully made, metal and maybe a little heavy for some. But I find it ideal. I am so pleased with it! It mashes perfectly too!!!

Toll! Ich bin begeistert von dem Teil! Sehr robust und durch den Edelstahl auch ansehnlich. Vorher hatte ich einen Kartoffelstampfer aus dem schwedischen Möbelhaus, fast komplett aus Plastik, der mich einfach nur noch genervt hat. Dieser hier von WMF bereitet Freude beim Stampfen. :-)
