About this item:
pH is the measure of acidity of water, on a scale ranging from 0 to 14. A pH of 0 is the most acidic, while a pH of 14 is the most alkaline. Different geographies have different tap water conditions with different pH levels, while fish require a specific pH level to thrive. A pH of 7.0 is ideal when keeping a community aquarium containing a variety of tropical fish. Goldfish and livebearers prefer a pH of 7.5. Many Amazonian fish, like angelfish and neon tetras, prefer a pH of 6.5 to 6.8. Mollies and swordtails thrive at pH 7.2 to 7.5. API pH UP Freshwater Aquarium Water pH Raising Solution raises aquarium pH in freshwater aquariums to desired level. Safe for fish and plants. Use when setting up a new aquarium, adjusting pH, or changing water. pH in an aquarium can fluctuate due to fish waste, uneaten food and addition of tap water. It is recommended to test water for pH weekly. With API Aquarium products, it’s easy to keep a beautiful saltwater, freshwater or reef aquarium. Got this to reduct PH level in my tank. However, overnight the tank PH level would increase. It's not the product, I think I didn't identify what was causing the PH lvl to rise. I would advise identifying the cause before using this product otherwise you are wasting your money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great as always
Came early great as always
5.0 out of 5 stars Really works
The water in my area usually tests at around 8.5 ph. Use this in my 32l tank once a week when I do the main water change and it brings the ph down to between 7 and 7.5 ph
3.0 out of 5 stars It kinda works
I’ve attempted to use this product for a few weeks now I’m not sure if I’m using it right but finding it difficult to maintain a lower PH in my fishtank would be helpful if it had more information how to use this product, I guess that’s what Google’s for. Still seems like a reasonable price.

Api is probably the best in fish care
Worked very well, but no safety seal
I received the product very quickly.Product did not leak.I followed the directions and tested the water outside of my aquarium. And the API pH UP^ worked as advertised. My only issue was that after I removed the lid, there was no safety seal, so I was worrying if product might be watered down or tampered with in any way that might harm my fish. But my tests on the treated water showed nothing odd.I will watch to see how my fish and plants do. And report back.
Finnaly a good size bottle
Love the size that should get me longer than the small dripper we all get in the first water treatment kit.
