5.0 out of 5 stars Like a professional guitar at a begginer's price. I
(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() As a first time guitar buyer, I wasn't sure which to go for. I first read through some reviews and I was always a fan of Fender as a brand. However the only guitar I found reasonable was to be the fender squire mustang. at the same time I ordered the ibanez which wasn't much more expensive for my brother. As soon as the ibanez came after the squire , I couldn't stop playing with the ibanez. The strings were good out of the box , great action which made it really easy to hold down the chords and play them. The neck and fretboard was much more smoother and comfortable to hold. The fret was a bit more longer than the squire but it felt much more comfortable. the tone of this was really clear and clean, it actually sounded much more. The finish was good and clear. The pickups have a good distance between them so it has a cleaner sound. Once you change the pickup settings you can even get a more heavy metal sound . The knobs aren't placed directly under my usual strumming area so it makes it much easier to strum and hold. I loved the color of this guitar , finger prints aren't very visble.I was actually surprised with the overall finishing and sound of the guitar . It really seemed like a professional guitar at a beginner's price. I ended up liking this so much that I bought two of them and returned my fender squire Mustang.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful instrument
After much research and deliberation I purchased this on the strength of the Ibanez brand (I also have a '78 Les Paul copy)..and this beauty did not disappoint, utterly flawless finish and workmanship, plays perfectly out of the box, action and intonation is spot on. A wide range of tones can be achieved from the H-S-S pickups to suit most any style of music, this thing puts Strats firmly in the shade, not only in the sounds it can achieve, but price point, PERFECT build quality and playability. Hats off to Ibanez - how they make an instrument of this calibre at a budget price is beyond me! - but I'm so glad they do! Do yourself a favour and don't hesitate to get one.Beautiful, beautiful guitar.
5.0 out of 5 stars Ibenez G60 great guitar
I bought this on a whim and then tried to cancel the order however it still turned ,so I thought oh what the heck and opened the box ,I tend to go for SGs and Les Paul's bit on opening the box saw what an absolutely beautiful guitar the sunburst is, it's instantly playable ,you just need to attach the tremolo and off you go ,lovely neck size for smaller hands and lovely smooth frets ,strings are smooth and although they feel "loose" are perfectly intune you can easily bend the strings to get that emotive feel to the note without ripping your finger to shreds ,it's a great guitar that is value for money ,I would say its comparable to the lower end of an Epiphone if not ,if I think about it slightly better and that ìs something as I have a stack of Epi SGsIt sits comfortable when seated and when standing has good balance ,it's not neck heavy and the whole guitar feels relatively lightweight ,a lot lighter than the shoulder/ back killing machine that is the Les Paul .

Arrived in perfect condition.I've been playing for 20 years, and can confidently recommend this baby. For beginners right up to more advanced, for the price you won't find better. The build quality for the price is top notch.Tone wise....wow. It's so versatile..from hard rock to clean and crisp sounds, it's unbeatable.Add a decent amp with effects and you have the whole spectrum of music to play with. The fret dress is perfect...so easy to play at the bottom or top.The pick ups are quality for the price. You can really hear the different nuances between the switch.Might need the tress lowering depending on your style, but truss key included.I've owned and lost (sob) many guitars in my time.So i'll say it again.......just get one. :)
5.0 out of 5 stars Great action, sound and tones.
This is a beautiful piece of wood for a start. Really good slim neck, excellent pickups. I play some rock, some bluesy stuff and some melodic pieces of my own. Tone variations are perfect. This is a nice instrument. Thoroughly recommended. Three months down the line and very happy. The action is light and perfect for me. Great value for money too.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent beginner's guitar
This is actually my third guitar but I wanted a cheap guitar to practice modding on, and I was really impressed by the setup straight out of the box. It just needed tuning and a small truss rod adjustment (which it tells you how to do in the manual) and it was ready to go. Getting the balance between the neck and bridge can be a bit difficult especially if you change strings or adjust the bridge tension, but once set up properly it's REALLY easy to play. Very comfortable and light; the stock pickups are better than I expected but with an upgrade it really sounds great.
5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive quality
I bought this guitar with a yamaha pacifica 012 and chose the Ibanez. The yamaha may have edged it on tonality, but it was the neck , quality of finish and frets well out of way of hands and the feel of guitar which suited me to a tee. I am a pianist but looking to learn guitar. I love the masculinity look too.
3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing.
I had a wonderful Ibanez guitar about forty years ago, that memory prompted me to buy this one, especially after the glowing reviews. It certainly looks nice in the photos too. Alas, I was quite disappointed. The finish around the pick-up cut outs on the body was shoddy, and it just sounded feeble. Some annoying fret buzz too, which could have been rectified with a set up. But, I found it easier to just return it. Perhaps, I was unlucky.
