Bought this as a gift for a friend. Not had this before but the perfume smell was gorgeous. Very light and lasts and lasts once applied to your skin. The bottle is lovely [although it's boxed so you can't actually see it] and it made a very acceptable gift. My friend loved it!

I always used to wear this as my daytime perfume but, for one reason or another, I fell out of the habit. I decided to buy it again as I decided that life is too short and why shouldn't a stay at home mum smell nice? The perfume is just as I remembered it and several people commented that I smelt nice.My only complaint is that, after 2 months, the top spray part jammed or something and would no longer spray so I had to throw half a bottle away.

"One of the best known and loved fragrance classics, L'air du Temps was introduced sixty years ago to commemorate the end of World War II and a return to elegance and fashion.L'air du Temps is a French phrase with a second meaning which is difficult to translate, but means something like what is currently being talked about. The English equivalent might be "something in the air." In 1948, when Roberto Ricci introduced this perfume, that "something in the air" was a sense of optimism as Europe moved beyond the events of World War II and the immediate aftermath. Designers were looking for something to bring women back to the world of fashion that had been put on hold during the war years.The L'air du Temps bottle, designed by Marc Lalique, is a work of art; the twin doves on the carved crystal stopper symbolize post war hope and peace. The fragrance packaging today doesn't always include a crystal stopper, in fact most of today's stoppers are plastic, but the doves are always found somewhere on the packages. This spray canister has the advantage of being refillable, so I don't miss the stopper too much.The juice itself is a sophisticated floral.
