Great very dark ‘pencil’ that works really well with my other standard graphite pencils. Charcoal and other heavy carbon pencils have either been too obvious/stuck out or just not even worked over a shiny graphite layer, but this does the job. I’m guessing it’s considered a colour ‘crayon’ rather than pencil but blends well and you can cover already heavily pencillled areas. Probably best as a finisher as harder to erase/lift. Basically am surprised as a crayon would not have been my first choice but have tried all the 10/12/14bs in the world and this is best so far. Worth a go for the price. Could this be ‘the one’…!

I adore these pencils! I currently have nearly 80' of them. Buying them individually like this means that you can gradually increase your collection without the cost of buying a large set all at once.The pencils have a really strong, vibrant colour which lasts as they have a high light fastness rating. The range of colours is also beautiful, the colours bleand and mix well to so any additional colours, if you can find any gaps, can usually be mixed.The texture of the pencils is wonderful, they are so creamy to lay down. They are oil based so there is no issue with wax bloom and can be layered on and on for longer than many pencil brands. I prefer to use these for skin tones because of this layerability.The quality of the wood and the construction of these pencils also beats other, similar priced ones hands down. I have a set of Prismacolours and these feel so much more well made and sharpen easily without breakage.This colour in particular is a favourite of mine and I will definitely need to replace it soon!

Pencil was loose, no bubble wrap or protective packaging, hope lead is not broken. These pencils are expensive, you would expect Bolo to protect them when they are posting them.

Faber Castell are terrific! My super fav are Caren D'ache but they're so expensive. The Faber Castell polychromos pencils are the best next to CD. They have a great selection of browns and greys. If you draw animals they're perfect!
