5.0 out of 5 stars good value for money-
This cream is reasonablwe in cost and is very good value for money remaining one of my favourites.
5.0 out of 5 stars a great alternative to Curel
What with the cost of living, I didn't want to keep spending extortionate amounts on beauty products. This fab eye cream is a steal, glides on smoothly and doesn't irritate the eyes or skin, seems to be working to keep those wrinkles at bay.
3.0 out of 5 stars big box - little bottle and a greasy residue
I decided to use the L'Oreal Plenitude Revitalift Eyes cream is a change to the usual brand I use (Elizabeth Arden). The first thing that shocked me when I received it was the size of the box in comparison to the size of the jar - the box being 10.5 cm in height, 6.2 cm in width and 4.8 cm depth - the jar is 4 centimetres in height and 4.2 cm in circumference. This means that there is a massive size difference between the box and the actual bottle of cream. The small bottle contains 15 ml of cream. The bottle itself is stuck to the base of the platform in the box by a double sided sticky gel, meaning that you have to rip the box in order to get the jar of cream out. This is not necessarily a problem just an inconvenience. The cream itself has a smooth light feel to it; unfortunately, it also has an oily sensation with it. After using it only a couple of times, regardless of the amount or lack of amount I used, I was left with a nasty greasy sensation around my eyes in the morning - no matter how little I used I could not get rid of this sensation. I ended up having to use cleansing cloths/wipes to get rid of the oily residue around my eyes. Only after using the wipes could soap and water make any impression on the residue. The box makes a large number of claims to the product, claiming that it within four weeks the appearance of wrinkles will be diminished and the appearance of bags reduced. I cannot say that I noticed any of these differences while was using this product, I did, however, notice one interesting side-effect.I have a heavy operational scar on my neck and it was suggested that I should use this product to rub into the scar tissue to see if it would ease the vividness, thickness and calcification - amazingly it worked. It would seem that rubbing in this emolument into the scar has assisted in part of the healing process. From my point of view, so that alone, this has been a wonderful product to own and use. Unfortunately the grease components of the product made it unusable for me as an eye cream, waking up the sticky, gooey eyelids is quite unpleasant. It is the creams oily-glycerin soaked base that has ruined the product for me as a face cream, but it's worth it's weight in gold if you have any scarring.
5.0 out of 5 stars its good quality
the cream is very smooth and not greasy
Works Well with Revitalift 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid Serum, When Legitimate -Here's How to Tell
I've been using this cream for a few years as a cream base for Revlon's Revitalift 1.5% hyaluronic acid serum. Really helps with wrinkly eyes but you still must get the requisite hours of sleep (at least 6.5 to 7 hours for me) for it to work noticeably well.Additionally, here's how to tell if you have a legitimate product. The lot number on the box [yes, there should be a box] should exactly match the lot number on the jar. The jar itself is ceramic/colored glass? and heavy. The top is plastic and can have some "messiness" of the red border on top but not much - basically it's not a perfect imprint of the red border. There is a clear tab on the back label that you can either pierce or pull down in order to open the jar.***There is no longer a plastic cover/lid sealing the product when you remove the top lid anymore.*** I've bought this product at regular retail stores - not through Bolo or third parties - and it just isn't there. The top lid may or may not have the cream on it depending on how it is shipped. If it's through Bolo, I'm sure it gets tossed a bit and may show an air bubble inside with a large dollop of product on the lid. Cream should be white and thick and have a slight odor but not strong - should not be sour smelling. It's possible all of this can be true and the jar may have still been opened and/or used. If that's a concern, stick to retail stores and pay extra for the peace of mind.
