5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for multiple jobs
This was a great addition to my garage workshop either as a drill or a grinding wheel it work well and does the job. Easy to assemble and the build quality is good.
5.0 out of 5 stars Product is useful and welcome addition to dremel
This is brilliant. Fits well with the dremel. Only downside is it was delivered with no packaging so my Husband saw what was a surprise present for Christmas grrrrr.Easy assembly, says what it does perfectly
4.0 out of 5 stars Paid for new but got an opened item
All seemed to be there and undamaged, but the parts had just been lashed into the damaged box any old how. Clearly a returned item. Can’t be bothered to send back as I got it for a good price but took a star off the review.I agree that the instructions are awful but the diagrams and a bit of common sense will allow you to put it together easily enough. Not massively sturdy but good enough for the stated purpose.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great bit of kit
This is a nicely designed and made piece of kit. It is light weight but seems more than strong enough for the light pressures that are applied when using a Dremel. It has good features like the drill depth stop, and adjustable angles for drilling. I have used it today for drilling some pebbles, using diamond tipped bits, and it was great for that as it was very easy to maintain continuous light pressure to grind through them.It was easy to set up the workstation even though, as others have said, the instructions are not brilliant. The only thing it lacks is a vice or other means of holding pieces that you are working on.
5.0 out of 5 stars A very good addition indeed for your Dremel multitool
I received this just the day after ordering thanks to Prime. It's a kind of strange drill press hybrid, made in China (Which did surprise me!) specifically made for Dremel rotary tools. A standard electric drill is fine for most tasks, but a drill press can be much more precise thanks to the drill bit being held square for its entire journey. The Workstation 220 works in much the same way, except the entire rotary tool joins the drill bit in the plunge downwards. At just over £30, it costs less than a budget drill, and I unsurprisingly had concerns over build quality for something so cheap, especially when sturdiness is so important with the tasks you'd be using the Workstation 220 for. Thankfully, I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It's not quite as weighty as I would like, but fixing it to a bench with the corner mounting holes should solve that. As it stands, I had no problem using it for lighter tasks without actually mounting it.Construction is simple, but wasn't helped along by the poorest of instructions, which show little about how everything fits together. Thankfully the device isn't much more complicated than Lego, so getting it set up wasn't an issue, especially as there are only three main components. The base is equipped with both metric and imperial measurements and the riser bar slots firmly in place at the rear, held tightly by a locking nut which you have to install yourself. The riser bar has a twist lock at its base, allowing you to fix it at any height quickly and with a minimum of fuss. The additional height is mainly useful for keeping the rotary tool's power cable away from harm and you can also hang your Dremel tool itself using a detachable pole at the top while you're using the flexible shaft for example. At the rear of the main section is a locking lever that fixed the section's height, while similar locks allow you rotate the section itself, allowing you to drill at angles and also cut to specific depths. To do the latter you need to zero-in the depth lock against its gauge with the drill bit resting on the base plate.A large plastic container sits on the riser bar and provides a home for the locking spanner (used to secure the tool to the workstation) and has slots and holes for additional attachments - and the workstation, sadly, comes with no courtesy accessories in the container as standard. To secure your Dremel to the workstation, you need to remove the collar at the front of the tool, place it into the mount on the workstation, then secure from the other side using the locking ring. It's a simple step and the rotary tool is then held very firmly in place. The mount also has holes in specific places allowing you to access the power and drill bit lock.Using the workstation, I was very impressed with the precision it showed, with the drill bit not visibly straying at all, producing a visually perfectly round hole. The sprung dropping lever has just the right amount of resistance to allow precise drilling, although the travel is a little excessive and means your hand is always close to the action when it occurs. I plan to add an extension to the drop lever to limit the possibility of my hand coming into contact with the drill bit!If you've been considering purchasing a drill press and you already own a Dremel rotary tool, definitely consider the Workstation 220 to compliment it. It's precise and can save a lot of money and space, especially if you're only going to be using it occasionally.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very useful kit
Useful and well made
5.0 out of 5 stars Great, a must have
Not going to lie not used this much but I was so impressed I got my dad one who does far more modelling and engineering stuff than me. He loves it and has used it to drill some pretty precise holes. turns your dremel into a solid pillar drill.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect
Possibly the best accessory from Dremel
Indispensabile
Ottimo, fatta veramente bene. La si può ruotare mettendo il Dremel in orizzontale e per levigare e fantastico perché lo si fa con entrambe le mani. Si può applicare alla base anche un morsetto, per fissare piccoli pezzi per la foratura di precisione. Molto pratico, consigliato.
