Very poor build quality. Everything about this lantern is cheap. The made in China glass has cracked, it doesn't burn efficiently causing fumes and the claimed adjustable output doesn't work on the lantern I bought. It's either off or on. It requires frequent pumping and drinks kerosene. I have 70 year old European lamps that are easy to buy for about £50, get a service kit for less than £10 and it will still be good for another 70 years!

Bought one and was really pleased gave off a really bright light like a 5oo watt halogen bulb.so I purchased another and it was very poor with a yellow flame.got a refund and tried again.the flame was yellow and became smokey.would love a second one of good quality to make a matching pair in the garden.had no problem with the refunds excellent system.

As I have read in other posts. I awaited until lantern had arrived at a reasonable price then ordered. Once delivered opened box to find enamel chipped on hood & broken glass. Coleman please package item better especially if item for export.
Maravilhoso, mas deve ser usado com muito cuidado
Se usado de acordo com as instruções de segurança que acompanham o produto, é maravilhoso. A luz é forte, o recipiente de querosene guarda uma boa quantidade. Deve ser manuseado com cuidado porque é perigoso e tem risco de incêndio (o acendedor usa álcool e o tanque guarda uma grande quantidade de querosene) e de asfixia (se usado em ambientes fechados e sem ventilação). É caro, as peças de reposição também, mas a durabilidade é muito superior à da maioria dos lampiões a querosene do mercado.
Arrived safely and works very well!
The media could not be loaded. My lantern arrive early and safely. The lantern looks great. I like the vintage look and function. The lantern is a bit bigger than I thought it would be compared to many dual mantle lanterns I know. I figured it would be a bit smaller. Works well like it should. Had no trouble putting it together and getting it to light up. Puts out a nice bright warm tone light. Tad bit dimmer than a propane lantern. Only thing I don’t like about it is having to remove the handle out of the mantle housing to remove the top to gain access to the mantle and alcohol preheat cup. Coleman lanterns usually have a nut on top to remove when taking the top off with the handle. I’ll manage to work with it.
Kerosene lantern - very bright !
I have quite a few Coleman lanterns. This is my only kerosene unit. It is a bit of a pain to light the alcohol and warm up the generator but after that this is one of the brightest lanterns I have ever seen. Kerosene is a cost effective method of running.
Two shipments, two broken glass globes
I imagine this would be a nice lantern, but since Coleman doesn’t take care to properly wrap or protect the glass globe in the box and Bolo doesn’t write FRAGILE on the shipping carton, the result is that the lantern will arrive broken almost every time. I have been trying to get one of these lanterns for many weeks now and have just had UPS attempt to deliver the second one moments ago. I could hear the shattered glass rattling in the box as he handed it to me, so I asked him to wait as I opened the box so we could verify that the shipment was damaged. So, back it went again.
