    Instructions on the box were not very clear but referred to the video instructions included which were more clear.Once assembled it was easy to affix to the wall and works great.

    Got this to run the 15 metres to our back garden fence and it takes the long hose and metal hose head with ease. The handle to wind it back up is easy to use, the mounting robust, although you do need to feed the hose with one hand so it doesn't just coil up at one side.Where it loses points for me is with the terrible installation instructions. The wall mount rawl plugs come with a handy guide and even a paper template to help with the measuring (not that I needed it), what wasn't obvious was, bizarrely, after measuring out the two points for the wall mounts to go, it has an additional step, after installing the first wall mount, of adding roughly another 10cms onto the second one so that the whole unit doesn't rattle around. I, unfortunately, missed this step, so my reel has a tendency to move around more than I'd like. Still sturdy, but why measure out two spots and then add another distance and another step because the first instruction is wrong?!Similarly, I ended up putting one part in the wrong side (easy mistake) but there are certain steps that cannot be undone once you've gone through them. Took a lot of digging to find the spare parts department (their website says it's closed but you can email them and they will sell you the part, despite what their website says) and got a spare sent out without too much difficulty or cost.I know it's a common complaint with this model but they really need to overhaul the instructions and/or the assembly to make it more straightforward!

    I eventually managed to put the reel together and attach the hose, but only after finding the relevant YouTube video. Even then, it was a slow process. The diagrammatic instructions on the box are not fit for purpose.The reel itself seems reasonably sturdy and the 50m hose has wound on easily but the product lost marks because of the poor instructions.

    When first looking at the instruction leaflet, both sides of the leaflet show the side handle to be on the left side of the reel; however because the views show a different reel position on each side of the page, it creates confusion. It was important for me to have the handle on the right, so recommend the following pre-construction method to determine the correct orientation. 1). Identify and locate the parts on the drawing 2). Attach the hose union stub through one half of the cylinder and through one of the side members, lightly screw on the tap connector type hose union fitting. 3). Place only the two cylinder halves together and offer up to an adjacent wall with the substantial hanging lug uppermost as it would be when fitted to a wall. 4). Hold the other side member which will have the handle fitted against the other side of the cylinder with the substantial hanging lug uppermost as side 2 of the instruction leaflet. 5).you will immediately see whether the side handle is positioned to suit your requirement. It is now easy to change over the hose union stub to the other side member if the opposite hand is required. 6). Permanently fix the handle into the other side unit and disassemble the hose stub, fittings to enable easy assembly of the cylinder halves. ( once the handle has been permanently fixed to a side unit the handing of the unit is established).7). Assemble the two cylinder halves by spraying all 8 joining lugs with silicon lubricant spray or second best washing up liquid, place on protective cover locate connections carefully and sit firmly / bounce on top to close with ease. To improve longevity of life, attach 22 mm split hose to lower metal support tube and fix with duct tape; possibly water hose or car coolant hose which will still fit into the lower bracket. (acknowledge earlier recommendation)Recommend drill through metal tubes with a 2 mm HSS drill bit using the plastic screw holes as the guide initially to mark the tube; if preferred remove the tubes after marking to drill through the tube. This gives a permanent screw fixing into the tube.I have also as recommended elsewhere fitted an aqua fitting to the hose spur in the centre of the cylinder to prevent back pressure blowing the hose off the reel.This is an excellent hose reel for the money and I anticipate it giving years of service. I hope the above explanations are of assistance to the less competent self assembly DIY who may otherwise have been put off from purchasing.

    not to difficult to put together but i would recommend watching the video on how to do it as the instructions on the box are not clear, i did need a mallet for the reel as i couldn't push it together with my hands and im pretty strong. once together it is a good sturdy piece

    Kahm alles sehr pünktlich und zuverlässig wieder von Bolo, ausgepackt, wow. alles einzelteile, erst mal sortiert, geschaut, betriebsanleitung ist nur bildlich an der verpackung, musst schon überlegen was, wie wohin, da ich aber kein dummer bin, hab ich es zurecht gesteckt, die einzelteile sehr gut verarbeitet vom material, sehr stabil, steckverbindungen gehen leicht zusammen. nur mit der einen feder wusste ich nicht wohin, was war da der gedanke des entwicklers, könnte in die verbinderkupplung rein, passt vom durch messer, ist bestimmt gedackt das eventuelle verunreinigung während der wasserversorgung den wasseraustritt nicht plockieren. aber vielleicht bekomm ich von nem anderen käufer mal da seine einschätzung. die trommel habe ich mir extra wegen eines neuen kärcherst gekauft da ich ca 40-50 m gelände da von dem leider nur im haus wasseranschluss betreiben kann. ich habe mir einen guten einfachen schlauch von 50 m aus dem baumarkt gekauft, der knickt nicht lässt sich sehr gut auf die trommel aufwickeln, muss sagen die angegenen 60 ma auf die trommel, naja ginge eventuell noch aber seht selber an meinem bild, da gehen gerade mal die 50 m so drauf, ist aber keine schande, reicht auch voll aus, so nun zun produkt selber. ich muss positiv sage, nach dem zusammenbau, das produkt ist sehr gut stabil, echt, wackelt nicht in seinen bestandteilen, auch wenn es nur eine formlose zusammenfügung der einzelteile sind, der entwickler hat hier sehr gut konstruktiv die abmessunngen konzipiert damit es sehr stabil ist. opisch sieht es sogar noch sehr im desing toll aus, mit der kurbel kann man gut einen langen schlauch aufwickeln, man muss nicht wie bei gardena so eine führungsrolle oben drauf haben, man führt hier mit der hand, ist doch egal wenn mal die hände dabei nass werden, gut aufgerollt passt wie auf meinem bild der 50 m schlauch sehr gut drrauf, die wandhalterung zur unterbringung ist eine feine lösung, alles ist gut unter und übersichtlich. was ich sehr gut vom entwickler hier finde, ist der wassseranschluss und austritt innerhalt der trommel mittels den mitgelieferten kupplungen. die werden innen an der trommel verkuppelt, so kann der schlauch eingesteckt werden, ausserhalb kann man über die kupplung die wasserentnahme vornehmen, feine sache, da man so nicht die ganzen 50 m abrollen muss sonder nur so viel abrollt wie man für seine arbeit braucht, gute lösung, da vor allem hier das preis/leistungsverhältnis absolut annehmbar ist, da muss man nicht das doppelte an geld ausgeben nur um eventuell ein markenartikel zu kaufen, also, für eine einfache aber sehr gute lösung, sehr gut stabiles gerät gebe ich sehr gern die kaufempfehlung an andere kunden weiter, danke.

    A priori, produit de qualité qui semble robuste.Il faut bien réfléchir pour le montage, car une fois les pièces assemblées, elles sont très difficiles (voire impossibles) à repositionner différemment. Particulièrement si vous l'utilisez accroché à un mur, bien penser de quel côté vous voulez la manivelle. A l'intérieur du carton, un grand ressort : aucune indication n'est donné sur son usage. Il faut en fait le positionner en sortie de l'arrivée d'eau au niveau du branchement intérieur du tuyau. L'entretoise de l'axe du tambour doit manifestement être entrée en force.A part l'utilisation du ressort, la notice de montage imprimée sur le carton est assez explicite.Capacité : utilisé sur la terrasse de l'appartement, j'y ai mis un tuyau d'arrosage type caoutchouc de 25m de long et de 13mm de diamètre. On peut aller jusqu'à 30 m mais surement pas 60m de capacité.

    Barely intelligible instructions. Got to a point where I thought I was ready to attach it to the spigot and realized the fittings for my expensive hose were not going to work. At that point I was so fed up with the thing that I decided I wanted to return it but could not get the main section apart and couldn’t find a box big enough to ship it still assembled back to GB. Ridiculous. Went to Home Depot and bought something assembled for nearly the same price and ended up throwing this out. What a waste of money.
