I hate plastic and am please that Solgar are using glass bottles. People forget that there will be microplastics in with the tablets as they get shuffled around. Also well priced, would buy again.Note .. If you get the 100 tablets, like me, the bottle will be half full. Just a mention, doesn't change anything.

I bought these after blood tests showed I have low folate levels.After some research, I found out that Vitamin B9 is a synthetic substitute for folate and is often sold as folic acid.Folic acid however needs to be converted by the body into folate and takes a lot more time/effort for the body to do so.After using previous Solgar products I decided to see if they made a folate supplement and came across this. It uses patented Metafolin® as the main ingredient which is an easily absorbable version of folate and is ready for the body to use.The pills are small and round, chalky and easy to swallow. The recommended dose listed is one per day preferably at mealtime.My folate levels before taking these was 5.7 nmol/L (below the 8.83 nmol/L minimum on the ideal level zone - max is 60.8nmol/L).I have been taking one per day for the past two months and am due for another test in one month. I will update the review after my next test to give a better idea of how effective/quickly (or not) the supplement is in improving levels.### Update 5th September 2018 ###So after a few months of one tablet per day, my folate level is now 26.6 nmol/l - well into the normal range and almost 5 times the amount before starting with Solgar Folate.Highly recommended!

There was no way 50 in this product I counted 22 they are good better then taking folic acid which GP gave me, they do give me energy would definitely recommend them!

I am glad I found these. It gave me a peace of mind during my first trimester knowing I am ingesting something natural and not chemically obtained like the folic acid.This product has got a sweet taste to it and it is easy to administer.
