Nobody beats Yamaha in this price range. I have many friends who own F370s and F310s. The F370 is described as a "beginner's" guitar because it has a slightly shorter scale length, which is utter nonsense. There are far more expensive, high-end guitars with short-scale lengths. I wanted a budget guitar that does the business and is easy to play as I bang out songs and strum for long periods of time during performances. I also own a gorgeous high-end Takamine but for a working guitar, I prefer the Yamaha F370. The neck is to die for, particularly for strumming and almost as effortless to play as some of my electric guitars. I actually like the laminate top as it's not so affected by temperatures when I'm out and about in Winter and less prone to cracking. Don't be fooled by the detractors; the tone on these F370s is spot on. I find it sounds best with .012 gauge strings and if you need to fit a pickup, don't mess about and permanently install a "Fishman Neo D Humbucker Sound Hole Pickup". I use it with an external active DI Box or a pre-amp box. I go to events with other players who pay fortunes for electro-acoustics and they all want to know how I get the sound and tone that I do with the F370 when plugged in with the Fishman pickup. I think of it as my "secret weapon" for events and if I ever had to replace it I'd be 100% sure to buy another F370. amazing instruments for the money.

Buying an acoustic guitar online is let's face it a bit of a dodgy thing to do. But sometimes it just has to be that way. I wanted a decent acoustic to add to my instrument collection so after a lot of research I decided to stack the odds in my favour by relying on Yamaha's legendary reputation for quality (in all it's products) and the premier service you get when buying direct from Bolo. Over the years I've been pro and semi-pro so have an informed and hard-headed approach to the business of buying guitars. Even so - I was a little apprehensive when the courier rolled up next day with a large package. I think I 'expected' a few problems but was delighted to find that the Yamaha was totally unmarked and well protected.So - does it play like a bag of old nails? Definitely not. A quick tune-up and off I went. The tone is lovely. The neck is comfortable and really accurate. The frets are perfect and the intonation is fabulous. Straight out of the box this is the best set-up acoustic I have ever bought (and I've bought a few over the years). Even full barre chords at frets above 13 are clean and perfectly in tune...similarly with open chords. The action is 100% and the machine heads are very smooth and accurate and hold pitch excellently.Yamaha quality and Bolo storage and logistics is a great combination...and my initial fears about buying an acoustic instrument sight unseen and unplayed have been blown away. Get the manufacturer right - and the retailer - and you might end up as happy as I am with my new YamahaFive stars - 10 out of 10 - and that's before I mention the awesome low price.UPDATEA month later and it just gets better. Possibly the best 4 weeks of guitar I've had for many years. Everything still tight - intonation perfect - frets perfect. My playing had dropped to much less than an hour a week but I'm currently playing the Yamaha an average of 2 hours a day - and would do more if this was possible.Five stars are not enough!UPDATE 2Six months later and no change. This is a serious bit of kit at a bargain price. I can't recommend it higher. Still 10/10 and a joy to own and play.

The finish on the guitar is superb. Frets are well finished and the intonation good. The action isn't too high straight out of the box. The playability is great and the sound is rich. A lovely instrument.

The yamaha f370 is good guitar for beginners who want to learn playing guitar .It comes in good and safe packagingIs nice shape and easy to play as it's very light I would recommend to replace the strings for good ones .Other then that is is good quality price

I am a beginner level guitar player and my guitar teacher recommended a Yamaha to replace my 20 year old guitar I was using that was going out of tune quickly and very hard to play.Got a second hand F370 on here but it came with all original packaging looking brand new and instantly I could feel the improvement vs my old one. Playing is SO much easier and less painful on the fingers.The sound is a bit "buzzy" but a lot clearer than my previous one even the other students have noticed the improved volume and sound.I got the black one and it's stunning - looks very cool.For some reason it came without the Yamaha bag which was listed in the product description so I got in contact directly with Yamaha customer service who sent me a new bag within 2 weeks.Pretty chuffed with overall experience with customer service and also the quality of guitar and would recommend this to any beginner!

Nothing to dislike. Just took a bit of time to get used to smaller size after playing dreadnoughts. Sound quality is rich and action is low but not too low. Went all over fret board checking tuning and it's spot on.

très bonne guitare "" a condition de changer les cordes d'origines les tirants sont bizarre et c'est des hachoirs !! pour les débutants c est juste horrible . foutais lui des élixir . extra light/ light ou custom light et promis ca va vous changez la vie
