When the Japanese set out to make something, quality really does seem to be the priority. They build up to a standard rather than down to a price. I'm an engineer/machinist and a huge tool nerd and a can honestly say these are nothing short of beautiful! The fit and finish is flawless! Perfect for model makers, the round cross section makes them great for forming small bends and coils in wire.The blocky over moulded handles are surprisingly comfortable and the machining is absolutely perfect! Every single edge has been chamfered so as not to be sharp but the bevels are so incredibly fine, you almost can't see them with the naked eye! You can however feel them. Frankly, I'm at a loss as to how they make any profit at these prices!! World class stuff! I'll be going to this brand for all my small pliers. Engineer is the manufacturer responsible for Vamplier products which are equally well made. I am buying more!!!

Well made Pliers, but unfortunately let down by the small return spring which after using a few times tends to "Jump out" and jam the operation. It may be better to remove the spring altogether?

Excellent precision. My second tool from this manufacturer and it is a class above competing products. Its a joy to use, which for me is mainly with electronics for which it is perfect - it will grip delicate parts without marking. I also love the rubber handgrips. Everything about this tool exudes quality and although pricy compared to the competition, you do get what you pay for.

I picked these up to fix a broken pin in the USB 3.0 internal port on my motherboard. It managed to break the pin off and allowed me to connect the cable.They're pretty strong and feel good in the hand.It's not something I will use often, but extremely handy to have around.
Precision is an accurate description for these pliers.
First and foremost these ENGINEER Compact Precision Compact Long Nose Needle tip Pliers are a fine example of quality Japanese manufacturing, and indeed are the finest precision needle nose pliers I have ever used in the 40 years I’ve been using them for my current purpose. Though my use may be somewhat unconventional, as I am a quadriplegic with very limited hand strength and finger dexterity. I use these pliers mostly as tweezers as I cannot squeeze or otherwise manipulate conventional tweezers. And I can say without reservation that they do a great job at grabbing a hold of even the finest of hairs. So in my opinion that makes them quite precise. The spring offers just enough tension as to allow me to easily, repeatedly squeeze without fatiguing my hand, yet have enough stored energy to assist in releasing my grip and the spring is holding up after a full year’s use. If and when I need another pair of needle nose pliers, they will definitely be ENGINEER’s.

These pliers are a little more expensive than something you could buy at a local store but, the precision and quality of build is very impressive! I expect to use them for many years.

Als Deutscher ist man ja von Werkzeugmarken verwöhnt, bei mir mit z.b. Metabo und Wiha direkt vor der Haustür. Aber die Qualität und Präzision der Engineer Produkte ist zumindest für manche echt nochmal ein Level für sich. Besonders diese Zange hats mir echt angetan, so praktisch und tolle Haptik & Optik.
