Bead Smith-Thread Zap II. This handy battery-operated thread zapper trims burns or melts threads with one touch... no more frayed thread ends. The extra-fine tip heats instantly with the push of a button and allows for precise application-- ideal for finishing bead weaving and stringing projects. The tip is replaceable and measures 1/16 inch long the tool itself has an overall length of 5-1/4 inches. This package contains one Thread Zap II tool. Requires one AA battery (not included).

Does exactly what it should. This is the second one I have had previous one i had had for some time and just stopped working. This tool is ideal for zapping threads and sealing so the ends do not fray.

I received this item, placed a brand new battery into it and then nothing, it did not work. I thought maybe I put the battery the wrong way round, again nothing. I fiddle with the device for over an hour nothing, no heat no thread cutting nothing. I thought well I might as well return it, guess what, the seller does not accept returns or replacements. Save your money and time this item is useless, with no customer rights. 😑

Great for sealing the ends of your macrame or friendship bracelets and probably has a few more uses too. Battery does run out pretty quick if used a lot but i guess that is to be expected with something like this that needs to be powerful- i just use rechargeable batteries. The tip can be a bit flimsy so you do have to use with care but it certainly helps make the job quicker.

This zapper is brilliant and so easy to use. I make jewellery and can not manage without this tool! It has a precision point for delicate work. It cuts through any kind of thread right through to cord and ribbon. It seals as it cuts so there is no fraying. Battery operated so there is no cable getting in the way. All in all an invaluable tool!!
Great customer service
I received the product and put in a newly charged ebl battery. Charger showed full charge and product did not work. I set up a return and reorder. I got my replacement in 2 days and repeated the same process. Again product did not work. I grabbed an Bolo basics aa battery and it worked fine. Tried the first one and it worked as well. I use this for fly tying and it beats burning my fingers with a lighter or hot bodkin. I have used these the last few days liked them alot and will keep both.

Ce truc est d'une utilité extraordinaires quand on fabrique des choses à base de laine, de fil acrylique, etc.. plus précis et pratique qu'un briquet qui parfois ruine tout un montage ! vous en avez besoin !
