My son wanted this indoor hoop after he played on one at a friends house. The rim is sprung so that it can bend down or "breakaway" rather than snap off or bend if someone dunks or pulls on it. That is the idea however the thickness of the backing perspex and the compression resistance of the spring means that when you hang on the rim, instead of the rim drooping, the backboard actually bends outwards. This will eventually result in failure or snapping of the back board.The whole thing makes a lot of noise when mounted to the door and it has also caused damage to the paint finish despite the foam backing on the mounting points and cups that hoop over the door. The door, ours at least, cannot be shut whilst the hoop is on it as the clearance between the door and the frame is inadequate to accept the thickness of the mounting loops.This minihoop looks excellent and my son has a lot of fun playing on it. I think it would benefit from a thicker sheet of perspex as the backboard and a lighter spring rate on the breakaway rim.

I loved the stability and quality of the board. There were springs and dunking on this was just sooooo satisfying. I do have to say though, unless your door is the same size as the clips, you'll need to buy some padding to close the gaps, otherwise it rattles too much and can damage the door.
Great gift for 5 y/o, few comments:
The good: Great quality, seems durable and works as expected. Easy to assemble. The size is decent and it was all in all a success as a gift.The “bad”: There aren’t bad things per se but the board does make a loud noise when the ball hits it prior to going into the net. Its acrylic and it sits with like a quarter inch from the door, so when the ball hits it it then hits the door. Its obviously not a toy meant to be quiet, but if loud noises bother you then maybe its not for you.Additionally, the door doesn’t close all the way but this I think is due to the design of my doorframe. Not really an issue as the door is almost all the way shut and kids can play with no issue with it.Overall opinion: worth it, just a bit loud- happy with the purchase
On our second hoop in 5 years
My son received this hoop for his 6th birthday and has played with it every day for the past 5 years. He would dunk on it when he was little, though I discouraged him from hanging from the rim. It held up really well, left some scratches in the paint of the door, but that was to be expected given how much he played with it. This year, it finally broke. Snapping at the bottom of the backboard clean across. My son was pretty sad. While there are cheaper hoops on the market, I reordered this one. It last 5 years of continuous use, looking good as new up until the moment it snapped. The ball it comes with is kind of flimsy. I refill it with air every few months. I bought a replacement ball that has a more leathery, thicker feel and that’s the ball he prefers to play with.

Justo lo que quería, duradero, el tablero es de material flexible, el aro es de metal, viene con todos los tornillos y herramienta para armarlo.Me encantó.Brilla bien, depende de cuánto tiempo le dé el sol.Para el balón, hay que tener una aguja para inflar balones y una bomba de aire

La verdad no me esperaba mucho de esta mini hoop ya que pues los materiales si parecen frágiles pero cuando la empece a ocupar fue todo lo contrario y es muy resistente y de muy buena calidad y si la recomiendo jaja
Best one yet
We've tried a few of these at varying prices and this one by far is the sturdiest and longer lasting. Dollar for dollar this is the best one we've seen yet. It's durable and fun to play.
