As someone just beginning my journey with aquariums, I was recommended Tetra SafeStart by a local fish shop owner. I must say, it has been a great experience so far. The product was easy to use, and it really helped to quickly establish a healthy environment for my fish. Everything is going smoothly, and I’m very satisfied with the results. Perfect for anyone starting out with an aquarium!

I've been doing some rearranging of my fish tanks recently and this is great to use when restarting a tank. Test strips provide good results after use, so it does work as intended.

Easy to use and helped to cycle in multiple new set ups. Also started seeing less fish lows since using it when completing water changes. I do dose generously but it doesn't last that long- however this is much cheaper than pet stores.

In my case after having to use formaldehyde based medication after introducing new fish which came with free of charge parasites. The medicine can also wipe out other micro-organisms so as a precaution against that... Used this.

Without trying to make this a scientific review, the best description is that I added the correct amount to my new tank, ran my filter for 24 hours, added 6 very small Cherry Barbs on day 2 to provide an ammonia source, essential for the bacteria to grow and multiply. All test readings have been in the safe zone for 8 days, using Tetra 6-in-1 test strips. To me, this was a new way to start an aquarium, I was apprehensive, but so far impressed with the results!

Bough it as an emergency, it was too late to go to my usual store. The thing is that this Bacteria must be diluted. This 250ml bottle states that it treats 300l of water. The dosage is 5ml per 6l of water. Same brand I am buying in other store is in 100ml bottle, cost way less and treats 400l of water. Dosage is 2.5ml per 10l of water. Really simple maths. Find it somewhere else, and check dosage...
