The Pilot G2 pen has been around for a long time, and I've been using them for at least the last 20 years! Throughout that time they have been the best roller ball available, in my view, and great value for money too.Although listed as gel pens the ink is more fluid than most, but it flows a lot better as a result, and feels more like a fountain pen than a biro in use. Be prepared not to touch your writing for a couple of seconds, or it may smudge. Unlike a biro you don't need to apply pressure to the tip, and that makes your writing more elegant and places less strain you your wrist. Your best writing experience is always with a nib pen, using traditional ink - it gives you a flow and lightness like nothing else. The closest I've come to that is with these G2's, and I find them very enjoyable and rewarding to use when the full fountain pen experience is not practical.These days there are lots of colour inks to choose from but I recommend you stick to the stronger solids like black, red, blue, green. The inks are light-fast too, unlike a biro. The pastel shades and the white in particular will not show up so well on paper. Remember that these are inks, so the white will not stand out well on black or dark card. If that's what you want you need a paint pen instead. A lot of the negative reviews here are due to this misunderstanding rather than the pen itself.Finally, and to the credit of Pilot, the barrel of these pens unscrews, allowing you to fit a refill. That's an excellent feature and helps prevent the waste of chucking out an entire pen when only the ink has run out. The less plastic pollution can be achieved the better, and Pilot are to be applauded here.These are excellent pens, and I long ago threw out my old ball-points in favour of them. Highly recommended!

My favourite pens over the past few years have been the PaperMate Flexgrip Ultra Paper Mate Flexgrip Retractable Ball Pen Black - Pack of 5 but the last pack that i bought didn't last very long, and there seemed to be 1" of ink left that was just unusable. They are still my favourite basic ballpoint pen, but the other thing i find with them is that they can make your fingers quite sore, with the ridges on them.So....a few months ago, I decided to try the Pilot G-2 pens. They are gel pens, so don't last as long as a ballpoint, but they are really nice to write with....very smooth, no leaking or gloopy bits on the tip, but the best bit for me is that they don't show through the pages either in my diary or my lovely new Black 'n' Red notebook Oxford Black n' Red A4 Wirebound Hardback NotebookThe only disadvantages are that they really don't last that long, and don't actually appear to have much ink in them even when they are brand new (see photo of the 4 new ones that I've just bought). In the interests of being eco-friendly, you can also buy refills, but I was shocked at the cost of them! The refills cost more than the pens (although the pens I bought were on special offer).

I am a great fan of these pens and this is the third time that I have bought some. They are very easy to write with. The sleeve above the point make them easy and comfortable to hold. Highly recommended.

Okay, I admit it, I am absolutely obsessed with these pens. I have tried and tested many gel pens, but for me the Pilot G207 is head and shoulders above the rest. They write so smooth and have such an easy grip. Maybe not 100% bleedproof if you highlight over them - leave them dry first for the best results, however, this could also be down to the highlighters.My only frustration is that it is cheaper to buy an entire pack like this than the refils; I'm hoping at some point Pilot will rectify this.Apart from that for me these are the best.

Se mi fossi informato, l'avrei presa prima dell'Inktober. Purtroppo sono arrivato a fine mese che avevo le mie vecchie penne bianche scariche (che scrivevano anche male tra l'altro) .Quindi per disperazione ho chiesto a Chat GPT di consigliarmi quali sono le penne bianche migliori in circolazione (e disponibili su Bolo Italia), e tra alcube di quelle disponibili mi ha presentato questa come prima della sua lista.All'apparenza può sembrare una normale penna, ma l'unica cosa che ne differisce è l'inchiostro gel bianco, ovviamente. Lo scatto della molla è morbido e soddisfacente.E aveva ragione (GPT), questa penna è sublime, scrive perfettamente, non lascia solchi o graffi ed è omogenea mentre scrivi, inizialmente potrebbe scrivere con una leggera trasparenza, ma dopo un po' il tratto diventa più marcato.Persino sulla copertina in similpelle del mio sketchbook scrive e si vede bene. Consigliata assolutamente.
