Bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter who loves it! Very sturdy, easy to assemble, great for playing shops, with space for favourite toys to ride along. Easily strong enough to take to supermarket. Would recommend.

Purchased Oct 2015, Reveiwed Dec 2015Purchased this for my 5 year old son who loves to go shopping with me :DI did consider buying this some time ago, but I didn't only because I feared it would be a waste of money... now that we have it, I wish I had bought it sooner. My son loves it, and he loves doing the shopping with it too.It definately makes him happier to be more involved in the big monthly shop (or bi-weekly smaller shopping depending where we go lol).Not that my son was a rascal before, but now he is even more well behaved than before and he loves the attention he gets when using it lol.Now some people will buy this only to be used at home... that's great too if you have a lot of space, but we chose not to do this for this trolley as my son used his previous plastic one at home to store things in.. and we have storage boxes for that purpose :)Anyway, this is very well made and very sturdy indeed.Now upon putting it together I first wondered why the trolley basket doesn't extend all the way to the front of the wheels just like on a full suze trolley, but afterwards I found it to be perfect as it leaves enough space for the parent to put your foot down on it to stop it from moving (like a brake). Which is great for making sure your child doesn't run off pushing the trolley all over the place if you don't want them too :DThe other thing is the actual size of the basket... now it may look a little small in our eyes, but it's a good size for kids to put things in without it getting to heavy (which would also enable the brakes) and believe me, my son knows how to organise his shopping to put the most in it as possible lol.Oh and one last thing.... the handle bar can easily be unscrewed so that you can put your own label/message/name tag under the plastic cover of the handle (just like they put the stores name on it) which makes it even more personal for your child - Great!!Overall I give this 5 Stars... My 3 year old loves this set. I struggled to find things online for a role play supermarket rather than a kitchen, but I stumbled on this set and its perfect. The little apron is very cute and my son loves all the bits it comes with. I find Melissa & Doug products are always great quality and I got this on a deal so it was a bargain price. The only thing I would say, is that at 3 my son doesn't quite grasp being careful with the cardboard elements of this set so some have been broken and aren't very durable for his age group.

Although we got it in the sale I would still say its worth its money. It is literally like a mini trolley. Solid and sturdy and my daughter was so excited as its like the real thing. Think this is what gives it that extra specialness. It will last forever and her sister will grow into it. It will be a toy that will be used for years. My daughter up until now has had a plastic one that was a lot cheaper but kept needing to be fixed and she still played with that lots. Its a toy that might not be played with for a week or two but then got out again. Definately recommend. Go for it you won't be disapointed. I am a massive fan of melissa and doug toys anyway. I think they are the best toys around.

I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter on her birthday. She was almost speechless with delight which was very gratifying. It is much smaller than I imagined and therefore the perfect height for a 3 year old and practical for the typical household. It arrived flat packed and was easily assembled using the enclosed tools. It is very robust and well thought out. Which is lucky as my Gdaughter immediately began using it as a ram raider smashing into all the hall doors!The cart section is too small for a child to climb into which is a safety feature that I hadn't considered until my Gdaughter climbed into her dolls pram and tipped it over! All in all I think this is worth the price and I have no regrets about choosing this item over other cheaper models.
Easy to Assemble for Hours of Fun
OK, so we bought this for my son a year ago for Hanukkah and it had been sitting in our garage for that entire time. I randomly decided yesterday to clean the playroom and assemble this on my own. First, big props to the folks at Melissa & Doug for such a thoughtful and easy-to-follow set of directions. The pieces are super well labeled and organized. The only tool you will need besides what’s provided is a simple screw driver. I didn’t feel like engaging my husband for help, so I used the little screw driver that comes with Ring cameras. Lazy, sure. But it worked. From start to finish with kids interrupting, it took my about an hour and a half to assemble. The components feel very durable, and my son could not wait to start playing. It looks very cute and has so many realistic features. My son is 5 and my daughter is 1.5, and it feels like a great toy for both ages.

Bought this to go with my daughter's toy kitchen, was skeptical about the price but it is the best quality!My first time buying a large Melissa and Doug product because I find the brand pricey, but you totally get what you pay for! Such great quality, I don't have to worry about it breaking before she gets her play out of it!Instructions were clear and easy, took about 40 mins for me to put together. The toy food was purchased separately.Highly recommened!!(My daughter is 2.5 yrs, taller for her age)

Got this instead of the (twice the price) shopping cart by M&D and I am very happy we did. Well made and sturdy, and the food included is a bonus.

Muy lindo este set para completar el mercado de Melissa and Doug. Las cajas que vienen son ligeramente resistentes pero no dejan de ser cajas, si tienes un niño menor de 3 años, seguramente no durarán mucho.
