The microwave steam sterilizer can be used to sterilize baby bottles and other products in just 2 minutes, killing 99.9% of germs and bacteria. The exact length of the cycle depends on the wattage of your microwave, of course. 2 minutes at 1200-1850W, 4 minutes at 850-1100W, 6 minutes at 500-800W.

Only reviewing now as I finished using bottles. Used it for over a year and can honestly say it was one of the best purchases I brought. Being one of the less expensive sterilisers it does the job fantasticly! Easy to use and clean, I used this steriliser with my tommme tippee bottles and the fit well. Kept the bottles clean sterilised and looking like new. Also for in my microwave which is on the smaller side! Worth the money! Better than those massive sterilisers in my opinion.

Ive used this previously for my other children & i highly recommend.Holds up to 4 bottles/teets & lids.Easy to use - pop in 300ml of cold water & pop into the microwave for 6 mins.Easy to keep clean & store away

I hate spending a lot of money on gadgets you really don't use too much (althought they're quite necessary). Yes, you can always get back to traditional ways of sterilising by boiling bottles and soothers in water for 5 or 10 minutes, but it still takes a lot of time and it's quite messy.I found this steriliser very easy tu use and very handy. It takes only a second to pour a little bit of water inside of it. Then all you have to do is to put yout bottles, soothers, teats, etc., inside the steriliser, close it and put inside the microvawe oven for some minutes. It's so easy and cheap, as you don't have to buy any sterilising tablets (just add half a glass of water...).It's suitable not only for avent bottles, but for everything you need to sterilise (plastic spoons, breastpump parts, silicone nipple shields, etc.).All you have to do is to check that your mcrowave oven is big enough for this steriliser. For your information, it's diameter is 26cm aprox. (I couldn't find this information in any product description nor on the Phillips/Avent webpage! This should be fixed by Philips/Avent!).Good buy for a really great price (and really cheap use!).

I had the old round electric steriliser and was getting fed up of the scale building up and the constant cleaning with chemical product.This microwave steriliser is absolutely brilliant!!! It fits in my tiny microwave but I would recommend making sure it fits in yours.I have the natural bottles and teats and can fit 4 of them in it, with a couple of dummies or feeding spoons. It's a good quality product and the price is such a bargain.It's also really practical when you need to travel. Ok it takes space in the luggage but so much better than any other temporary solutions.I can't believe I used the electric one and struggled all those months, when this one is more practical, so much easier to clean up, and does the job perfectly well.

I bought this to have at my parents house after changing from tommee tippee bottles to the avent range. Firstly, it was an amazing price at only £10, I was really pleased as some of the other microwave sterilizers are double that. It is really compact and fits lots of bottles and other accessories without a problem. It can be stored in the microwave which saves worktop space too. It is easy to assemble and use and sterilizes in 4/6 minutes. The only reason I haven't given it five stars is because I had read a review online that said it also fits tommee tippee bottles - it does, but they don't fit in the rack securely. However, we have swapped to avent as their products are (in my opinion)better than the tommee tippee equivalents. An all round good product - would recommend!

Steriliser was easy to assemble and use, particularly at 3am when we realised (repeatedly) we’d run out of sterile bottles/dropped a dummy etc. Nice and quick too, only taking 2 mins in the microwave. Only downside is it’s quite large, so not something you could easily transport with you. We just used it at home and it was perfect for that
