Bought on a whim, after a quick google to read repeated reviews on how amazing this is, I bought some.WOW.Lets get the big thing out the way - it's got MSG in it. It's a flavour enhancer, so it's helping enhance the flavour of the mayo, and whatever you are eating it with.AMAZING in sandwiches, AMAZING on chips (quite similar to good Dutch mayo I reckon) and frankly amazing on everything I can smother in it.Yes, its more expensive than a big bottle of boring pure white mayo, but you don't need to use as much to get more flavour out of it. I won't be going back to blandness after eating this.It's a lot easier to buy this than wait for my Dutch colleague to bring me Mayo back from her holidays!Comes in a slightly strange feeling thin squeezy bottle. Unscrew the red top, peel off the foil, pop the red top back on, and you are ready to go.Sometimes it's just worth spending those extra few pennies and turning a good meal into a TASTY meal.

Forget about Hellmans, this is the best. Interestingly there is a slight taste of salad cream to it which I’d never tasted until I asked someone else’s opinion of it. Oddly I hate salad cream though but not this.

From the first taste it does seem to have a very strong flavour and can be likened to salad cream. But the aftertaste is more eggy and more like a strong mayonnaise. It is quite rich in taste so not a lot is needed. It definitely grew on me so don’t let the first taste put you off if you do find it strong. It lasts a while and it’s interesting to compare the taste to our regular uk mayonnaise. I’m still not sure if I prefer it but it’s certainly an acquired taste.

Oh boy, where do I even start with Kewpie mayonnaise? I mean, this stuff is like a party in your mouth - and not necessarily a good one.First off, the bottle itself looks like it's straight out of a 1970s sci-fi movie. I half expected it to start beeping and flashing at me like some kind of intergalactic distress signal. And don't even get me started on that creepy little Kewpie doll on the label. Is it just me, or does that thing look like it's plotting to take over the world?As for the mayo itself, well, let's just say that it's definitely an acquired taste. It's thick, gloopy, and has a weird tangy flavor that's hard to describe. It's like someone mixed together a jar of regular mayo with a bottle of vinegar and a dash of soy sauce, then left it out in the sun for a few days.But hey, if you're into that kind of thing, go for it. Kewpie mayo is definitely not for the faint of heart. Personally, I like my mayo to be a little more... normal. You know, like the kind that doesn't make you feel like you're eating an alien condiment from another planet.Overall, I give Kewpie mayo a solid "meh." It's not terrible, but it's not exactly a culinary masterpiece either. Unless you're a die-hard fan of weird, tangy condiments, I'd say stick to the regular stuff. And for the love of all that is holy, keep that Kewpie doll away from me.

I’ve seen this stuff online and thought I’d give it a go as I’m not a massive fan of normal mayo that you get in England. I wasn’t disappointed this is made from egg yolk instead of whole eggs which gives it a really creamy taste much nicer than the normal stuff. Definitely worth trying.
Kewpie, iykyk
What's to say? Sure, you can buy store brand. But iykyk, kewpie mayo is awesome. Tangy, a little sweet, savoury, umami. This is the tuna for tuna mayo.

Kenko statt Kewpie
Habe Kenko statt Kewpie Mayonaise bekommen.Sieht ja ähnlich aus und nach Prüfung überraschend schmeckt fast genau so gut.Und ist auch etwas billiger.Deshald lösche ich meine alte Bewertung von zwei Stars und geb jetzt 4 Stars.Wieder etwas neu entdeckt.
