Excellent thick glass bowel
5.0 out of 5 stars Useful item
This is a robust, well-made bowl; and these are said to be even tougher than Pyrex bowls, which are very good. It’s a U.S. quart—same size as the pre-Imperial measures quart was in Britain, which is to say a little less than a litre (946 ml). That’s a good all-round size for a lot of kitchen jobs.It came beautifully wrapped to protect it in the post.

Very sturdy looking bowl that cleans with a wipe although I'm not sure that it will hold 1 litre of liquid - it must the the conversion from and American quart!
Mixing bowls
These bowls are thick enough to be resilient. I've owned anchor Hocking for over 30 years and have never had one break.
If you order three of these at a time they will arrive broken -- I've done it twice.
The product is fine. I ordered one and it arrived O K. I then ordered three more they all arrived broken. I ordered three more all three of them also arrived broken. I,ve never seen such poor packing. Put three glass bowls in a big box with very little packing material (one small sheet of brown paper). What else could you expect. How can I order three more and have them arrive safely?
Perfect!
These are just great for the no knead read recipe.
I love everything about it
I put oatmeal or brussel sprouts or sweet potato in it and cover it up and put it in the microwave and I get a nice healthy dish of food with a minimal amount of electricity used, and since it's transparent I can see what's going on in there! I love it.
Excellent Bowls. Oven Safe
I bought these to make the trending Peasant bread. They went from room temp to a 450F oven for 15 minutes, then 375 for another 15 minutes with absolutely no issues. The bread popped right out without fuss from the buttered bowls. I let them cool completely before I put them in the sink. These will explode if they experience drastic temperature changes, so be aware of that. Perfect size bowl to make peasant bread, which is great for just me and hubby, and wonderful for bread bowl ideas.
