As to be expected from gerber good quality.I like the anti slip handle. Only little gripe is i wished it came with a belt case. I know it has a belt clip but just my personal opinion.

The locking mechanism is very poorly made. Locks over too far and wedges between the blade and the frame. A common problem in badly made liner lock mechanisms.Even tightening it so that the frame is more snug just makes it slightly less likely to wedge, and hurts your thumb to open it, meaning that because the thumb stud is sharp, it's painful to both openly + close!Also can't change the direction of the pocket clip, but that's a minor niggle. Blade up only (the wrong way).Overall it's cheap, rather than inexpensive.Gerber failed here. Shouldn't have put their name to it.Thought it would be a good inexpensive compact utility knife. Nope. It's just cheap.Don't bother, just get a traditional one.Larger but at least they work properly.It is small though which is a benefit.

This is a handy little knife half penknife half utility knife, and the blades are very easily changed. My only issue is the blade is a little loose.

Looks great by practically not suitable for using all the time.The blade pops out way too often for this to be a safe tool for use all the time.Small boxes/intermittent use is about as much as it can handle.I work in warehousing/fast moving consumer goods and this knife didn’t handle cutting down cardboard boxes all day every day. In comparison, a Stanley branded knife has no issues.

I think it is good quality especially considering the price.
I just got it but it seems great. I am pretty picky so I would nail it if this was junk. The pocket clip has a super robust stainless bolt holding it on. It is the same bolt the blade hing pivots on. It looks like a very heavy duty rivet but on the oposit side is an allen head screw threading into it. Seems to be plenty good. The Tufhide handle is still some what rubber like, not cheep plastic as some have described. They seem to hit a nice happy medium between being rlubber too grabby to slip into your pocket verses slick hard plastic. The handle on mine feels slightly rubbery but I can not dig my finger nail in to it. The only thing I can find fault with is there is a sharp corner at the front of the part where the blade slips in and this will eat at my hand while in my pocket or my pocket. A bit of emory cloth or a diamond hone will take off that sharpness easy enough.I took a real chance and bought the inexpensive one, ~ $7, there was one listed for 17 and I figured for the lesser price I was going to get the cheepy plastic handled one as opposed to the rubber handled one. I am happy with my knife. It is quite good quality and materials for the price.Mine came with the thicker "heavy duty" blade; it measures with a caliper near enough to 1mm. The thinner normal box knife blade is about 0.6mm. The heavy duty blade fits pretty close to perfect in the knife. There is very little movement though there is some. With the 0.6mm blade in place there is almost no difference; a little more movement but not rattly.I may compress the housing some so it is a more snug fit since I sharpen my blades rather than throw new ones at the knife but that is just me.
